By some divine miracle, you suddenly have all the money and technical help you need to remaster a single game from yesteryear. You have total creative freedom over the project and a publisher will release whatever you end up creating on all current platforms. What game do you choose and what do you do to it?
Limitations
Remember this is a remaster, not a remake. Yes the definitions overlap somewhat, but this is how I’m defining them: a Remake is a brand new game that broadly follows the same story and design briefs that the original did, but it’s as if the original game was being pitched now with all the creative freedom that entails (think Tomb Raider: Anniversary or Oddworld: New n Tasty). A Remaster on the other hand is supposed to be a better version of the original game, and is fundamentally the exact same game in terms of design and story as the original, just updated in various ways to take advantage of modern hardware and other gaming advances (think Halo: Anniversary or Spyro Reignited). The more you change beyond the graphics and controls, the further away from a remaster you get and the closer you get to a remake.

r6 vegas 2 the ai was so bad they just went towards whatever sound they heard. most people would just go on t hunt, grab 2 machine guns, and spray non stop because they never had to move anywhere. to this day there’s people playing this game that still don’t even know the maps because you’re that incentivized to afk a corner and not move. the other problem is that the ais were way too inconsistent. they aim botted with shotguns and would miss from like 2 feet away sometimes. i think adding some new t hunt modes, new spawn points, and more settings would work wonders so that you can actually challenge yourself instead of just hiding behind the same wall all game and racking up 20 kills without even trying. the entire game is supposed to be about positioning and awareness and that’s like the last thing that’s required in t hunt. just some simple modes like bomb defusing, domination, hostage, moving from point a to b would be great. and the campaign had a lot of really good maps in it that weren’t in t hunt for whatever reason. this game was like 2 steps away from being perfect. i think just a simple touch up with the graphics and some minor changes would do so much especially considering that the style and settings of this game were half of the appeal. the only balance i would change is making smgs a little quicker to handle or something because they were kinda underpowered
