Helmet sucks.
Any ideas you guys want to post?
Personally I'd like to see it buff Volatile Rounds explosion, Nova Bomb damage and possibly grant Devour with every Void weapon kill. One can dream.

Players would no longer take damage from Vortex, and Cataclysm's self damaging traits sould be a 1-1 match with Blade Barrage since the two are always being compared. Damaging and defeating targets with Cataclysm grant super energy. Vortex blinds targets and grants allies invisibility while inside. Vortex also lasts significantly longer, but deals less damage per second as a result. (It would do the same damage, if not more, only over the course of 15 seconds instead) Take no self-damage from grenade abilities.

"Landing hits or scoring kills with [Corresponding Super] refunds super energy. Super energy regeneration is increased (doubled) when dealing [Corresponding Element] damage. You are more resilient and harder to kill while casting your super." Basically just make all 3 about being able to spam your super more often regardless of if it's on adds or against bosses.

Edited by Infamous067: 3/26/2024 7:57:05 PMSkull is an easy one to rework It goes as follows: kills with any void class ability grants EXTRA super energy, kills with void weapons gives a considerable amount of class energy. Vortex nova bomb is now lance nova bomb and cataclysm is now triple spread nova (forgot the name lol). Armor is granted based on kills with nova bomb for an extended duration (20% 1 stack, 40% 2 stack, 80% 3 stack for 15 seconds). Nova bomb also deals more damage on direct impact (maybe enough so it pairs with other current meta exotics, let’s face it, nova bomb is a joke in pve). I did my best to make it stand out on its own, nezarecs sin is already a god tier exotic so I want the skull to truly specialize on building up super as fast as possible without needing 20 stacks to get it.

It certainly needs a rework. I personally think that it giving your void weapons Volatile Rounds and acting in a similar way to Bad Juju by constantly feeding you Super Energy per void weapon kill and and volatile explosion, whilst also granting you more void energy for Ability and Super kills would balance itself out as a choice in the exotic pool.

Never people are too daft and keep using it when it sucks. So bungie just gives it ornaments instead of buffing or reworking it

They should rework it to grant Volatile to your grenades when charging them with Chaos Accelerant, Volatile, and additional Seekers, on Cataclysm Novabomb, and longer duration and Volatile on Vortex Novabomb.

Dire Ahamkara splits your vortex nova bomb into 3 (adds Volatile to vortex effect) and void explosion kills (Grenades, Melee, Super Kills, GL, Rocket, Volatile, or the Fragments) give you super energy. Or Turns Void Breaches into a menace a mixture of Child of the Old Gods and Lorentz Driver you have more accessibility to Void Breaches via Precision kills, Abilities, or Something. While making volatile explosion damage be increased with the helmet would be nice, the overall thing I say needs to happen is for them to revert the energy refund nerf to it and exotics like it a while back. Allow it to give a full 100% refund in PvE if possible. Big hoard of thrall like in Crota's End, free supers, a small group of yellow bars, full refund, just something to let me relive the days of Obsidian Mind back in D1.

The helmet isn't the problem, atleast for me nova bomb is usually the problem as it can't kill enough enemies in higher content at times to proc the helmet perk. Personally I want the helmet to stay relatively the same but maybe ad on while devour is active you're abilities do more damage and return additional ability energy.
