The new Super, Song of Flame, won't buff ally weapon damage. It adds Scorch to their Solar weapons.

Well that’s a waste, no pun intended

Is it? Depending on how fast they can build Scorch stacks with their weapons, they might be able to chain Ignitions.
Is it? Depending on how fast they can build Scorch stacks with their weapons, they might be able to chain Ignitions.
They gave that ability to 1k voices and it still sucks. It won't outdo current meta with burst DPS supers like burning maul or thundercrash (with each one's respective exotic) or star eater scales + weapon DPS. It'll be good for bulk add clear, like in the upcoming horde mode. It's a super designed for the future of D2, not the past. It's pretty obvious tbh.

No, that article was wrong from the start. When Bungie first put out the video, previewing the new Supers, they clearly stated in the video that it adds Scorch to your allies' Solar weapons.

Fortunately, my point remains. Bubble titans will be the new well locks, and nothing will change, players will just be hamstrung into a different buff/protection super.

Negative bubble won't be the new well I think people would rather just use the fragment that gives you and nearby allies a 25% buff after using a melee ability.
Negative bubble won't be the new well I think people would rather just use the fragment that gives you and nearby allies a 25% buff after using a melee ability.
That lasts for what, 10 seconds? Bubble lasts longer and can be refreshed multiple times before the bug le dissipates. Good luck getting your whole fireteam to equip solar and the fragment to keep up with that. People aren't going to try that hard to recreate well. Path of least resistance is helm of Saint 14 titan bubble

12 seconds. 1 Hunter dodge and 1 melee ability will cover an entire damage phase or 2 melee abilities since most damage phases last 30 seconds only exceptions being ones with timers based on mechanics such as Oryx. Btw Bubble breaks very often even when placed behind a well on master difficulty so it'd only be good for getting the buff a single time most of the time outside of normal mode. Btw nobody is going to equip just bubble. Helm of S-14 was either nerfed or it's overshield sucked this entire time because it only grants 60 hp of the 300 Bubble gives and since you don't heal you won't be able to just use bubble. Another thing to keep in mind with resilience 10 bubble tends to last 15 seconds against bosses on normal and about 5-8 seconds on Master you'd need a bunch of bubbles to replace what 1 well could survive (Well tends to live longer thanks to the size meaning 90% of boss attacks don't hit the Well unlike Bubble)

But in master or GM content, you'll get killed out of a well before the well takes enough damage to die. If you're in a position where the well doesn't die, then it's not taking damage from those enemies, and a bubble would suffice just fine. And that's hamstringing at least two classes into running solar for radiant, instead of just one for well lock. Why are you so hungry to force 3 people to do the work that one person used to be able to do alone? That doesn't make anything more fun or challenging. It's just hamstringing more players. Especially since all those players are now required to run the same fragment as well (melee radiant), so you're limiting build diversity even more. That's what made well great. The other 5 players could do whatever they wanted.
Negative bubble won't be the new well I think people would rather just use the fragment that gives you and nearby allies a 25% buff after using a melee ability.
Lumina, which grants an even higher buff and is currently meta for activities where it really matters like day one raids. The nerf to well is most likely going to target the healing and dr, since that’s the real reason it is so overused.

I wanna know what nerf they plan for Bubble tbh. We can probably guess Well but like what is Bubbles nerf plan?
I wanna know what nerf they plan for Bubble tbh. We can probably guess Well but like what is Bubbles nerf plan?
Bubble is not in talks to be nerfed. The well nerf is the result of it making you nearly immortal in pve, which lets you stand still in even the highest level of content without the worry of dying. Bubble in comparison requires you to leave the protection of the bubble in order to damage those outside of it. They provide the same dr % and damage buff percentage, but we’ll also heals you by 100 hp/s.

They mentioned during the live stream they'd give bubble and well a nerf at the start of the season and they'd receive another down the line with the plan being before final shape or with final shape launch (Which seems to be final shape launch at this point)
