It’s been required for EVERY SINGLE RAID for the last 6 years. The nerf is long overdue, I just hope that some encounters in the game are retuned due well’s nerf.

 • It’s not required for ANY raid. What are you smoking?

 • So change the raid encounters... everything requires us to sit still while we take relentless fire from enemies. But yea let's nerf well. Again. 🤡

So has meta weapon builds. Bungie won't be tuning anything to deal with well nerf. You'll just lose the 25% buff and every boss will take approximately one extra phase to beat or titans will be hamstrung into bubble, which is just a well with one extra step (walking in and out of it). Nerfing well fixes nothing, it just slides the responsibility to another class. I don't know what people were expecting but if it was change, they didn't think it through long enough.

 • Sorry, but I’d rather it be nerfed that not. I could count on one hand the amount of times I’ve heard “do we have a well”, if had several thousand fingers on my hand. Also, really? You’re gonna compare well to tether? And thundercrash? Tether is only good sometimes in a coordinated team and thundercrash locks you to falling Star. Well is the definition of versatile, it can be used easily, carelessly, ANYWHERE, and it’s almost always extremely effective. No exotic needed, it’s plug and play. Essentially invincibility and a 35% damage buff for 30 seconds? Get real. Even if the game’s encounters don’t get touched after the nerf, maybe people won’t be so braindead in pubs.

 • You'd rather nerf well vs change encounter design? You're part of the problem. And that problem isn't well of radiance. It's stand here while other people stand there while a million things bombard us. But yes.. nerf well. 🤡

Have you not watched any of the videos of star eater golden gun hunters wiping out raid bosses in seconds by spamming supers? Also, well gives the same buff as radiant in general, that was nerfed years ago. It hasn't been 35% in well over a year, pun intended. It's 25% in PvE and 15% in PvP. Fact is, golden gun hunters have been the damage meta since year 1 destiny 1 with the exception of one year where it was blade barrage. You want to talk about versatile? A super that is good in every activity, including PvP, works in all situations, and deals several hundred thousand damage at range with aim assist and bullet magnetism so strong that you can hit the target without aiming at it. Your argument applies to a LOT of builds in D2, and the fact that the conversation isn't allowed to expand to account for that makes it very difficult to follow the logic that just one broken super needs nerfed when there are easily a half a dozen or more completely broken builds across the 3 classes. Especially when one of them is golden gun hunter, a meta super so ancient that there are children who played it then who still play it now as college graduates because it's been good for half their lives at this point. So, yeah, I accept that well makes things easier, but the idea that it's the only thing that's made things easier for that long is a very tone deaf argument, especially in a game bleeding players because the longer this mentality goes on, the less enjoyable the game gets and the more people leave to go find a game that's fun.
