For the raid weapons why are you confuse, he told you exactly why they are in there and I’ll quote, for the raid weapons you need to have the additional according dlc, so what there hoping will happen is that new light players will try to get all 12 weapons and re-buy older content to complete the 12 weapon collection. It’s about the money. Bungie needs money.

  • that is not true. Chris specifically mentioned that players will not need to own the DLC to acquire them, just as you don't need Forsaken to buy the Last Wish weapons from Mara this season

  • Okay, this is a stupid idea and reasoning “Oh I don’t want to pay for the game so give me free stuff I can for getting the dlc” So here is a single weapon that could have taken the succession position, revoker. You know the sniper they nerfed cause it could get bullets back for free, it’s kinetic and aggressive framed and fits more since it’s shaxx, you know the PVP person? He said he was opening his armoury, so why wouldn’t it involve stuff like revoker, not forgotten or broadsword/claymore Why bring stuff that anyone can get if they both work for it and actually got the thing for, why play an incomplete game

  • I don't like it either. They could have reprised so many other snipers, which are way more iconic, and given them the same or better rolls than Succession. Forbearance is a terrible pick too, imo they should have picked an underutilized special or heavy weapon archetype and given it previously unseen and some really powerful perk combos just to see how it does. For example, they could have expanded on aggressive frame fusions, caster swords, rapid-fire glaives or glaives in general, created a legendary special LFR or special variant of a non-special weapon type. If they wanted to give new and unwilling players a chance to earn 2 raid weapons, they should have made them bounties or quests like Moon and Europa weapons. ITTL is much more geared toward vets, so I don't know why they decided to add raid weapons that a lot of long-time and dedicated players will already have, and not even bother changing their rolls enough for anyone that owns them to care about chasing

  • I mean I thought it was bringing back the weapons that people loved for years, so I just find it so strange that the revoker, didn’t meet that list as it even got nerfed cause of the ammo changes Forbearance was always going to be a bad choice, since the original one had a amazing perk pool and a healing trait So to me I would rather have kindled orchid and revoker for the two weapons they brought back

Yes, to entice FTP players into buying the older expansions by giving them a taste of their raid weapons. So it is completely about the money.

  • so? They didn't release those expansions just have players marvel at the content in them. But, either way, Bungo constantly nerfs raid weapon perks or adds world drops with similar combos so there isn't massive power creep. All 3/4bearance and Recession are doing is giving new or non-raiding players an energy wave frame GL with Chain Reaction, and a fancy looking sniper. FTP can still get Tusk of the Boar (Chain Reaction) for free when Iron Banner comes around again, Harsh Language (Destabilizing Rounds) from world drops, or Undercurrent (Voltshot) from NFs, all of these mimic Forbearance to some degree. If they want a sniper, there are dozens of free ones that share basically the same rolls, and most are useless atm

Yes they are nerfing forbearance but it is still the best in class until the chain reaction nerf as it has ambitious assassin whereas tusk has slideways. Same for succession it is the only high impact sniper with recon vorpal/firing line. Both the guns are the best at what they do otherwise they literally wouldn’t have brought them forward for FTP players to try lol. Therefore, marketing the older content to them by giving them a taste of the best of the best. 💰
