I just don't get why they had to pick weapons that we can already get in the game. What is stopping me from loading up Deep Stone or Vow and farming those weapons right now? Personally, I would have picked Atheon's Epilogue and Hunger of Crota. Both were infamous in Destiny's history for their own reasons, and both got left out when their respective Raids came to D2.

Sunset raid weapons in the sense of midnight coup was the right choice but why the current raid weapons I will never understand

Not everything is for you

Exactly. So you got something that interests you. Not every weapon is supposed to be for you. There are people who will be seriously excited to finally try forbearance because they might not have the expansion or they might not be willing or able to raid
