I can't stand raids so I'm not upset about getting free guns I would never bother to obtain otherwise. I do expect the free versions to be weaker with different perks though.

But there's a problem with this -- why do the raids then? Making exclusive content available outside of said content defeats the purpose, doesn't it? This is the thing I'll never get. PvE players hate end game PvE and PvP players hate end game PvP. Both want the end game weapons/armor. Why should those be available outside of the content they're exclusive to just because you don't like to play it?

Because it's just 2 raid weapons out of many others and the origin traits like souldrinker remain exclusive to the raid.
