PVP Special Economy

I returned to D2 from vanilla D2 about 3 months ago and I mainly play PvP. Yes, I know its a PvE game with PvP in it but, I mainly play PvP because this game has super fun sniper characteristics and takes alot of skill compared to every other PvP game I've played. Anyways, I hated vanilla Destiny 2 because of how the ammo worked with double primaries. The only way to get a kill in Vanilla was with teamshoting (Mida and a sidearm). Since my return to the game it was fun until the recent sandbox update (I think its 7.3.5 ) occurred with more health, and a new special ammo system... It sucks! The only way kills happen now is teamshotting lanes. You and your friends camp together and wait until someone peeks then you win, its ridiculous. Now I have to savor my special ammo like it's heavy. Why is Bungie taking steps backwards towards vanilla after the game was actually fun in PvP again. Plus I just now became aware they are drip feeding into the light weapons... why bungie, your killing the game yourself. Final shape will be a major flop if the PvP sandbox stays like this, and your going to probably drip feed that entire expansion. I would like to hear everyone who plays PvP their thoughts on the new sandbox.

  • No one wants to hear my thoughts on the entire sandbox. Having the weapons come out weekly is the same thing they do when other weapons come out in other playlists. The way special ammo was before didn't really ever work right and if you can only get a kill by teamshotting then there's most likely a lot of reasons for that. You don't have to save special like its heavy. Special is inbetween primary and heavy instead of being like either of the two. It was like primary ammo before and pretending like picking up ammo after you fusion someone was a skill got old after a while.
