It varies for myself and my friend. One day, I get mid to long-range maps, and I don't mind those maps. But the next day, it's all cqc or mid range maps. Bungie needs to have a map vote. Those were the best days cause if no one liked the 2 maps. It would pick random.

I've had the same "rng" but the entire week. So far In 22 games i've seen a cqc map only once. I dunno if its a bug or something because of the other control node with sparrows which it should be normal to get those mid/long range maps
