Just because you say youre honorable in terms of leaving matches or even leaving and then rejoining for loss protection doesn’t mean everyone else is.
In fact in the top 1% pvp community its very normal to do cheesy things like this and your request would benefit those exact players the most in gamemodes like Trials.
So No. hard No.

A) You're talking about people leaving and rejoining. I agree, no special ammo refill for those. But that's a non-sequitur. What I'm taking about is someone leaving and a new player joining that match in their place. Those players didn't choose the "Screw Me Over" game mode from the playlist so they should not be punished. B) Moreover, what you're taking about only affects people playing against the top 1%, perhaps 1-2% of all players. What I'm taking about affects 100% of the players. Regardless, there's a super easy fix that would also fix a MAJOR issue with people being unfairly punished when they're disconnected because of Bungie's servers... If a player leaves a match, Bungie can ping the player's ISP (not the player's IP). If the ping fails, the player was clearly disconnected unintentionally (probably an issue w/ Bungie's servers) and the player should not be punished. If the ping succeeds, the issue is on the player's end (disconnected, quit, etc.) and the player should be punished with a warning if it's a comp or Trials match and no special ammo if they rejoin an in-progress match.

That does sound like a good idea, and it sucks when you get disconnected and have to rejoin with no special too Yeah if they figure out a way to see if its a legit disconnect then its ok I suppose

Legit disconnects happen more than you know. Not everyone has bomb proof connections and with how the game started with clans, if you’re not fortunate to have all your members be located in the same country, lag becomes an issue…..Due to the lack of dedicated servers in this game….
