The droprates are absolutely terrible.
I haven’t gotten a shiny since wednesday and have ran an absurd amount of Onslaught.
Doing Legend runs 1-10 or 1-50 over and over, full 50 normal runs HELPING BAD PLAYERS and to see NO shinies drop for 4 full -blam!- days is an absolute slap in the face to anyone maining this game
If Bungie wanted a surefire way to get me to never buy Silver again , keeping the droprate this abysmal is the way!
And I don’t need any of you clowns explaining to me what RNG is, I’ve got over 8000 hours in the Destiny franchise.
Hands down the worst droprates they have ever implemented in the game
And just because some of you casuals ran the activity once or twice this week and got some shinies , that doesn’t mean farming the activity yields meaningful rewards.
In fact Destiny 2 is known for giving returning and casual players great loot at first but once you start farming it several hours a day the droprates plummit.
So thank you for your opinion based on your experience which has been great

You don’t understand the RNG in this game and the forum is filled with casual players boasting about the drops they got in the 1 run they did this week. Anyhow, move on to another complaint so you can crap all over that one too.

So get this, I've reset & then some, 0 shinys. Not that I wanted them, I'm grinding for the seal n I need to kill all 3 bosses, I thought it said bosses rotate weekly but then I noticed people have the triumph completed already & it turns out it's random which boss you get on normal, so I've run maybe 15-16 wave 50s & the boss EVERY time is the warpriest. Yet I'm reading on Reddit guys who've run 50+ wave 50s & had the other 2 but no warpriest. All this on top of 200 banner games last week & no grenade launcher drop. Thing is wave 50 runs take 50 mins & that's just successful runs, there's been countless runs where we've wiped in the 40s with things like the door not opening, or ogres teleporting onto you, or that last guy with 2 resilience trying to rez you when there's 10 ogres beaming your orb. Think I'm gonna stop playing tbh, maybe for good, it's been a very tough year with everything taking longer & the loot being the same stale rewards, & this is the cherry on top, its not remotely fun

If it gives you any hope I had 100 tokens today, went to hall of champions and bought chests for 10 each at random intervals; got 2 shinies from that. If all else fails a Normal run gives like 50 tokens and you can save up a bunch and try gambling. Either way; been doing Legend farms again today and a full normal run and 0 drops ofcourse.

Go Spread Managed Democracy! In all seriousness in order for me to have some enjoyment I've had to become extremely casual with this game. And not because of "burn out" or any of that BS but instead because this game doesn't respect your time, so I only give it very little of mine.

That is “no cap” the best way to play. The RNG is heavily boosted if you barely play, to get you to play more. I hadnt played the week before BRAVE alot and the day I started (Wednesday) had 3 or 4 shinies drop within the span of 2-3 hours Almost nothing ever since, the game knows im an addict

I'm on Xbox or I would :( I start new accs & unlock everything again & once I hit endgame I get bored real fast, so repeat. The incentive, the economy, is awful, the content is draining bcoz it's so old & stale, the broken things & bugs are mind-blowing.

No one was ever guaranteed shiny Pokémon because they knew more about the game. That’s how this is.

Wtf is a “masterworked 10 year old”😭 If you’re referring to guns, you’d stand correct. A gun from Destiny is not the same as a character from a completely separate franchise. You’d also be correct if you stated that water and Coca Cola are different. They’re still similar though. Hopefully that analogy doesn’t go over your head as well.

Calm down there Bungie sympathizer, these "shiny" guns are timegated and cannot be received in any way after they are gone. So if you want not just a shiny but one you can use long term you need a good roll. But it's hard to get a good roll if you can't get any to drop. I would 100% be on your side if they weren't timegated tho.

Yeah and honestly if they were even harder to obtain I would be down for that, it's just the fact they are timegated. I've completed 300 waves now and gotten a butt load of the new weapons but none of them have been shiny. I'm really not interested in any of them except Blast Furnace which will be released last. And I plan on grinding just for a shiny that I can use in endgame. But if the drop rate continues it doesn't look like I'd get one I can use long term which would suck mostly because the window of opportunity is so damn short compared to any other weapons in n the game. So I'd even advocate extremely rare drop as long as it wasn't timegated.

Masterworked 10 year old weapon lol. Strangers rifle hung jury etc are 10 year old guns, not remotely exciting to get, & the fact people are getting excited for them show how badly treated this playerbase is. We need better standards around here, hold bungie to a better product.

Anything past that is not guaranteed, I've not even completed legend yet and already have 3 or 4 of EACH shiny. Blame your rng. They NEED to be rare. If the were readily available then no one would care about them. I've seen your comments and posts all over these forums, you just want a free handout because you have bad luck.

I had 3 shinies, and I've done maybe 4-5 tried at the mode, far from a casual so there's that "only casuals get rare stuff" theory out the window You claim to understand RNG yet you're still complaining, maybe you're just slow?
