Bungie, please don’t change the shiny drop rate.
Idc if I get hate, the amount of people complaining because the rare things is rare is absurd. It’s not guaranteed for a reason. Smoke some weed if you’re that pent up about it and treat it like a maybe and stop assuming everything will be handed to you. Lord.
I’d also like to make this amendment to my argument: I haven’t got a shiny in days. In fact, after countless runs, I only have one succession to show for it. But how REWARDING that one moment felt is far more than I could ever feel getting one from clearing a 50 wave legend. Datto put it well. This is the first time many of us have been excited in years.
Amendment 2: my gf got 2 shinys from one boss clear of legend onslaught.
Amendment 3: I think yall got your wishes I’ve gotten 3 shinys today.

People are not critical of loot being rare or about the excitement of chasing it, nobody that i have read wanted 'everything' to be handed to them. They are criticizing the fact that Onslaught is basically DOE stretched to an hour, harder and more demanding of the player and not that fun to do, where basically every 50 weapons or so, and in many cases even more you might get a shiny, add to that the fact that even if that shiny drops it could be two rows of crappy perks, and to top it all off, your attuned weapon drops is basically 50/50, so even if a shiny with two rows of crappy perks drops, it might not be the weapon you wanted. Eclipses are rare, winning the lottery three times is improbable.
