There's focusing which leans to the drop 50% of the time and there are also bounties for guaranteed shiny versions.
If Bungie were to make the shiny versions guaranteed and then create another ornament that's not guaranteed, the community would cry and demand those too.
These types of players want everything when they want it and then stop playing the game or say there's nothing to grind for.

Ferus Lux is a hater of complaints who is on the forums 24/7 to write these generic copy paste replies in defense of Bungie and his 1 casual run he did this week which gave him 2 shinies. He’s in all these posts, doing his thing, trying to make upset people more upset.

Very fitting 👌 I have never seen players lose their sht over shiny pixels on a functionally same weapon like this before.

Yes. Its a fixed roll. You have to farm for the perks you want on one. Like in any other looter shooter.

Can you send me a link to the 80% drop rate when focusing a weapon if you mind? Also, the “shiny” versions of these weapons when completing the bounties are mostly trash. Giving each player a “shiny” after completing all 50 Legend waves is well deserved, I did around 3 fully completed Legend Onslaughts and I didn’t even get 1 shiny from it that’s 150 waves in total.
