We've seen plenty of feedback and data on PvP special ammo economy as we've tried various options over the past couple of Seasons, with the goal of designing a more robust ammo system for a future season.
We want to stress that finding the right system is an ongoing effort. Trials special ammo distribution will use crates again this weekend, but fewer overall crates will be available. Beginning next week, Trials will return to the ammo meter system.
We’ll keep working on refinements around special ammo economy and, in the meantime, we appreciate your feedback.

Why does Bastion only get one special around and everything else gets two when you pick up ammo in pvp ??
-
Fair enough but please stop using trials as a testing ground.
-
Game has been out in a similar state for a decade now. Figure it out
-
Ammo meter is by far the best system implemented for special ammo
-
Just revert it back to previous special ammo economy.it was fine

Corporate people... You know that companies fail from the top down You know that ever problem is a leadership problem. You know that falling in-love with YOUR plan is an ego driven snare for fools. You're not making a game YOU like unless YOU plan on making all the purchases to meet sales projections. Thats all I have to say. Now I know you've heard it at least twice. Do what you will with that truth.

Edited by SchizoToaster: 4/17/2024 1:04:26 PMThe ammo boxes finally make trace rifles usable again, either change traces to act like 900RPM auto rifles with different perk pools than other autos and make them primary with a small damage nerf or buff their damage further in PvP, I feel like you can only barely outgun a summoner or a 450 RPM auto while using a trace in PvP, which you are using over a OHK option so it feels like a complete waste of special ammo Make traces better please, my coldheart isn't competitive anymore

pls keep the ammo meter, ammo box are terrible

You use Labs for this not the flagship mode

Enjoyed the crates but maybe less ammo or stop the double special loadout with less overall? Also maybe 3 boxes so 1 box is in a neutral area to encourage engagements and map rotations. Or give 12 shots and no crates over the whole match. You keep your ammo on death but if you swap you lose it. -
You guys should be working on balancing your matchmaking instead. As it is now most games are either 5-0 or 0-5. There is absolutely no competitive balance. Even with passage of persistence I have gotten to two wins and that’s it. Why? Because one game is 5-0 and the next is 0-5. It’s not even worth committing more than a few minutes to.

People hate the special ammo economy because its attached to there crutch weapons, so much for skill then
-
You like because you constantly have an overshield in primary fights. Gross
-
You like hunters for there broken super and shutdown down supers gross
-
Ya kinda like being indestructible flying through the air and alternating everything then you crash to the ground.
-
Indestructible? Not true at all, go watch YouTube. However Hunters staff can deflect literally anything, including thunder crash
-
Too much snow balling (unbalanced) if we go back to special ammo meter. The crates give out too much. So I think we should go back to the way things were before the meter and crates. I think it was fine, not perfect, but at least it gives both sides of teams a chance.
-
Perhaps if opponents only dropped one round of special instead of two?
-
Why would you use Trials as the guinea pig to test out these ideas? It's supposed to be your most competitive mode, not a "lab."
-
-
Ammo isn't the problem, forerunner is the problem. It gets entirely too much ammo considering it 2 taps to the head. Should ever get enough rounds to wipe the entire team.

Edited by Dekirk: 4/16/2024 5:41:46 PMEnd of D1 had it right man. Go back to that…. ….if the wheel ain’t broke then don’t fix it. Recent changes to Trials has made me want to play so good on that man! Comp needs a little more incentive though…. The gun should just periodically drop like Eysaluna did in D1 PvP….

End of the D1 had the special ammo crate system and it wasn't very good imo
