I don’t think shiny weapons should ever be guaranteed. That removes their completely random nature. Instead, I’d just increase the chest drops on a 50 run completion. On normal, increase it to 3. On legend, up it to 6. Your UI suggestions are definitely right tho. Those are really annoying. Having to wait for the window to update to see how much scrap I have is really annoying

  • What would the game be like if you replaced shiny with adept.

I would 100% agree if the shinies weren't time limited. They're time limited, so they should make wave 50 give 1 guaranteed. There's currently no real reason to do anything but 10 waves then reset. Wave 50 giving a guaranteed shiny would fix that and it's not like everyone's getting to wave 50 on legend without a decent amount of effort. The shiny reward is justified because they're time limited and the perks are still rng.

  • Wave 50 on legend needs some kind of drop buff because rn it’s more time efficient to run 10 waves to get the weapon you want. Rn getting 1 extra chest is not enough, maybe a total of 4 would work? In terms of getting shiny weapons, personally I prefer really hard to get but guaranteed drops like adept raid weapons over pure rng. If it’s sufficiently hard enough to get it would still be special to get, but I think 50 wave legend might be a bit too easy for a guaranteed drop. I wouldn’t really care about grinding them out but certain weapons like shiny edge transit can get gameplay advantages if you have the right roll. With the edge you can swap to cascade after getting maxed envious while using bait and switch, effectively giving you the benefits of 3 really good dps perks on 1 gun

  • But that’s the thing. Shiny weapons aren’t like Adept weapons. Adept weapons are statistical improvements and just slightly better weapons overall. Shiny weapons are purely cosmetic and are meant to as fun rare things. Like shinys in pokemon Bumping the total drops up to 6 increases the rate but doesn’t remove the spirit of what they’re supposed to be

Having the ability to have 2 weapons in 1 is not just cosmetic. I don't know why people keep acting like it is. Like I don't know if you're deliberately being disingenuous because you're such an advocate for rare things in the game or if you just forget the double perks. It's a huge amount of convenience in a game with limited vault space, where you only have 9 slots for either kinetic energy or heavy. Having 2 of the same weapons in one of those with different perk combos is just not it when you can have 1 with double perks. Not even crafted weapons let you have double perks

  • One guaranteed drop on wave 50 legend should be the norm, otherwise there's no reason running legend at all

  •
One guaranteed drop on wave 50 legend should be the norm, otherwise there's no reason running legend at all
Technically the chances are higher on legend because your getting two chest every ten rounds and double the trophy’s of bravery which you can spend more at the chest at the chest then playing on normal. Also the extra chest at the end of round 50.

  • The issue with 50 waves is that time it takes and difficulty means you end up getting more by just repeating 10 waves.

  • Why? Why does having that 1 thing make it suddenly worth it? Does it diminish the chase of what the shiny weapons are if we have a direct path to farm them? This is one thing we 100% don’t need to have a deterministic path for. Doubling the rewards I think is enough to compensate

All doubling the rewards is going to do is make the non shiny weapon god rolls far too easy to obtain. It's really not gonna push the needle that much on shinies. The shinies being 1 guaranteed for a wave 50 is the way to do it because legend wave 50 is, I would argue, harder than any grandmaster nightfall and about 2 or 3 times the length depending how efficient you are. There are going to be many many many people failing to get wave 50. Having this kind of chase to 50 to get a shiny in my opinion will be a good thing. Remember just because you get a shiny, that doesn't mean the perks on it will be any good.
