The reward structure is fine. For the players that want to play to higher rounds maybe toss in an additional chest but you can do 3 10 minute legend runs easy and get 6 chests which drops the weapons and materials and takes only 30 minutes. This is more rewarding than most other activities in the game especially considering the quality of the weapons and perk pools.
The shiny weapons are just a bonus and are functionally the same. They are a reward for dedicated players meant to be exciting to get, emulating the days of D1's dopamine rushes but minus being left out of something powerful like Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker.

The reward structure is so bad the forums are getting flooded by complaints and so is YouTube regarding the loot. And we all know you, Ferus L, you’re going into every one of these posts to say everything is fine. You got some shinies and you’re afraid someone else might get some. Thats why you’re fighting tooth and nail all over the forums calling every complaint crybabies. I seriously hope you never get another drop.

Double perks are not functionally the same. No other GL than Edge Transit can get Envious and Cascade for DPS trait swapping that pairs with Bait and Switch.

Meaning, a shiny and non shiny with those perks works the same. As for double perks, that's a small convenience. Not a must. 6 chests in 30 minutes will get you multiple rolls that you can simply have 2...like you would on so many other weapons without double perks right? As for that roll combo...you mean the same roll that non shiny versions can get too? lol.
