2 year persistent bug. cant hear people in fireteam chat on PC
for over 2 years i have had a problem with fireteam chat where i cannot hear other people talking. they can hear me, other members of the fireteam are talking to each other but i cannot hear them. i dont even see their mic symbols lighting up. i have tried everything i can think of, uninstalling audio software, reinstalling drivers, using a different headset, reinstalling the game. i have done the default audio thing in game bar everyone says fixed it for them, i have changed input and output devices on steam overlay and nothing works. any help and/or suggestions?

1 ReplyJust because it is not listed… Have you gone into settings, audio settings, and your headset is selected for all audio? Does your headset have an alternative volume control for game chat audio? Very odd.

In windows audio settings, you need to make sure your microphone is set as the default recording device and headset as default playback device. Also double check game settings. If the issue persists, it's possibly a NAT Type issue between you and other players.
