I do not understand why people are complaining.
1. You got the longest season in destiny’s history to bounty prep for artifact leveling when season is out.
2. New subclass is probably gonna be locked for 48 hr challenge like the strand aspects were for crota.
3. Challenge is for 48 hrs. Not 48 days. Once over u can play the game at ur own pace. In fact, participation in the raid challenge is not mandatory so i dont understand why ppl think they cant do whatever they like.
4. Only issue in mind is the errors that we may encounter which they at bungie are definitely aware and ready to fix since they set the date snd ought to be ready for it.
5. This is not the first raid to be released within the first weekend of an expansion/ season.
6. They announced the raid date 2 months in advance. Plans can be amended.

Edited by Xeptikal: 4/19/2024 4:30:57 AM1. Sandbox changes 2. New weapons 3. New subclass 4. Power grind (there will be one, devs were 2000 power) 5. Bugs/exploits 6. Server side issues (and there will be) It is impossible to be ready in time of 3 days if you have 4 or 5 hours a day
-
If you're planning to be in the raid race, take ALL those days off from work.
-
if you play day one raid there is no power grind since you do the legendary story
-
If your rng is good.
-
rng have nothing to do with legedary story lol
-
The drops you get during it do.

Edited by TonnoSenpai: 4/20/2024 7:28:34 PMif you go for day one raid you will do the xur box prep too so you don't lose time to farm blue gear, so no rng , you don't really need to do xur box prep but rng can be wild some times

I myself don't raid, but from what I do know is that Bungie seems to be setting themselves up for a bad contest mode.
-
You don’t raid but you’re arguing about raiding?
-
Arguing, no. Pointing out the downsides that could exist for having the raid contest mode be the week of the expansion, yes. I am not biased for either side as only in retrospect can the full picture be understood, but I can also point out pitfalls that could affect the experience of those who are going to do the contest mode.

not really, the grind for be day one raid is basically 1 legendary campaign and 1 quest, that's all, and i don't think bungie will make a 20 mission campaign 10 h going slow should be more than enough, after all full prismatic is locked, double exotic is locked, new guns yeah but nothing will have now will be ultra power creept
I myself don't raid, but from what I do know is that Bungie seems to be setting themselves up for a bad contest mode.
Bad as is fewer potential participants due to the schedule switch from normal, only one week work of pinnacles to farm, potential down time due to bugs and other issues that may arise, less time to farm up light level fodder for raid gear (since the encounters are not known we don't know what will be a good choice to run), time to adjust to sandbox changes (bubble and well nerfs, stasis, gun changes), finding clues for the raid in the pale heart, learning how to fight new enemies. There are a lot of things to try and get done after the update launches these if not properly handled could cause the contest mode to fall through.

Power grind: fireteam power exists in TFS.

Someone still has to do it and it’s -5 from the highest
