I'm not sure if you didn't know this but the world doesn't revolve around you, Bungie can't just push back the raid date, making the rest of community have to wait an extra week for the ending of the final shape story, just so you can take part in a video game competition you would never win in a million years

Listen here kid, why would they push the raid back another week when the raid is the -blam!- act before the final mission? Could you imagine playing through a campaign, intensity is building and the witness is nearly gonna kill us all just to see "come back next week for the rest of the story". Idgaf if the raid takes place before the whole damn story. Bungie is giving the entire playerbase two options: Play the story and be unable to do the raid because your power level isn’t high enough, or play the Raid and be unable to do the story because you have to grind day in and day out due to your power level being too low. It’s stupid that Bungie should pile all of this onto the playerbase at once. When Lightfall came out, Root of Nightmares was released like 2 weeks after. Mind you, most players had finished the campaign. Nezerac was introduced as just a mysterious name and all we knew was that he was a disciple of the Witness. We heard his voice but never saw him. He was brought in right smack in the middle of the campaign. And yet, the Raid was released much later. If the system isn’t broken, don’t fix it. We don’t need Bungie to hold our hand through their immense story telling, showing us what is happening every step of the way.

the raid is part of the story bruh, its the 2nd last "mission" before we actually beat the witness. We dont even know their plans for power level, all we know is that you'll scale up to the highest teammate. The system isn't broken but because the raid is directly part of the campaign story they had to change it

No, I didn't say competition. It's literally known as a Day 1 experience and the "competition" is for only 1 winner. Bungie has advertised the Day 1 Raid as something they want everyone to experience to have the opportunity to earn a limited time emblem.

Sorry you didn't see the main point of the post. 3 days after launch isn't enough time for a lot of people to get ready for Day 1. If the post was about me, I would've said extend the date for me. It was just an example of how most of the player base is cut off with the constraints of the date.

Will it be a struggle, of course it will be but it would be a struggle whether it was that day, 1 week later, 2 weeks later etc…. due to Contest Mode. If you aren’t doing it for Worlds first but to complete it for your own self accomplishment, just take your time and enjoy it the best that you can.

The raid needs to release early because it's what unlocks the last mission of the expansion. You want the race to be fair? Release it a couple days after release. You want only streamers/no lifers to have a significantly higher chance than people who work? Release it a week after. Giving less prep time is the most fair you can make it. And also, if glitches are discovered within those first days no gear will be disabled because it's too soon

No lifers/Streamer wouldn't have a higher chance because they always cap the power to where 99% of people can have max effectiveness. It's always way easier to take a day or two off instead of a week which this is forcing most people to do. Your point of "It being more fair for it to be released 3 days after" makes 0 sense. The people who do work will have their time WAY more strained instead of having more overall.
