Day One Raid Date

So unfortunately the date does not work for me or my clan mates. The day one raid experience is the only thing I still enjoy about this game. I am leaving feedback here so Bungie knows that I will not be purchasing the game solely because of this decision. After the last expansion, I decided I was only going to be buying the last expansion solely for the raid, and I stand by the fact that for me 24-48 hours of going through a difficult raid with my friends is worth the cost of the entire game. I would probably buy the game if we had the option to enable contest mode for the raid without the emblem, which is something that I have seen mentioned for years. Alas just another suggestion that has been ignored. Master mode is just not the same thing. On a larger note the disingenuous messages from the leadership at bungie have never changed. Getting up to date news about a game through another platform like twitter is in my opinion unacceptable. Not having a direct way to submit feedback is also something which I find lazy, controlling, and somewhat manipulative. If the developers actually cared about what the player base wanted we would be seeing a lot more surveys. No date would ever make everyone happy. However, it seems foolish to me that you have the tools to gather information about what would work best for your customers and you do not use it. For all of the inclusivity that bungie preaches, trying to rush through the campaign and raid (for some unshared motive) seems like they are leaving quite a few people behind. This should not be news to bungie because it gets brought up every release. And to all the people who say that this is a good thing because it will give people less time to find exploits, I’ll point out that the exploits are the result from not thoroughly testing the game… if this is their reasoning then they don’t even believe in themselves. To me this feels like an attempt to get a “good” or “popular” release to boost sales. I would love to see bungie be transparent about how they selected this particular date for the delayed expansion. They certainly did not ask the players, which I think would be a good process improvement. I am curious if they did any research into nationally hosted sporting events, etc. By saying nothing it feels like the effort spent is like the explanation of the radial mast, which, I hope is not true.

Like a parent watching their child take their first steps.
