Lock the ability to leave before 50 waves.
After 40+ runs on legend and not a single player willing to help completeit to 50 waves. Its such a total waste of time getting to complete just one 50 wave, over 1hr in time.
Adding insensitive to stay is a waste as players will just continue to load out after 10 waves.
Lock the ability to leave will actually make player commit to competing the full 50 wave run.

According to your record...u haven't even ran a legend onslaught tho. I'm confused.

Nope, you've got that backwards. It is Bungie's responsibility to provide incentive to STAY not stop folks from LEAVING. They are both the same thing, by the way, but one is more fun and healthy and rewarding and the other is punitive and whiny and unpleasant. I'm a patient grinder, I am not afraid of RNG, I WILL get a mountaintop that makes me happy, and I have already sharded over a hundred of them this week. I have been running Legend with 2 friends up to level 10 or 20 and then we reset. I've done Legend up to 50, and I got disappointing loot and an emblem I'm not going to use. I can get disappointing loot EVERYwhere so there's no incentive for me to do that again. The other option is to use the regular version on solo and then leave at 10 or 20 waves. I'm aware there's a 10-round-only option but you are then forced to give up your choice of map. Mothyards is tooooo sloooow, and Midtown is so much better that I won't use the playlist. I'm going to select the map I want, play the rounds that offer the best return on my invested time, and then depart. Now, Bungie has announced a change coming up, sometime this week (maybe tomorrow?) where they will be increasing weapon drops and bravery trophies. I'm looking forward to trying it out but I remain skeptical. I suspect in a few days I will be right back to farming this activity the way I am now. Prove me wrong Bungie! Make me want to stay in there, reward me with loot and drops that actually reflect my attunement and I WILL STAY AND I WILL PLAY!

You do realize people can just turn off the system they are playing on. Forcing people to stay is very counterproductive. Incentives and finding better people that'll stay. Btw match made onslaught is not on legend.

Lmao lock the ability to leave? I understand leavers can be frustrating for sure in PvE content with escalating difficulty but like... Thats silly.
-
I agree this is stupid, today I found lfg like farm 10 twice today they just leave or die, you see, throw the ball into the ADU no, why do we just blow everything up and leave...🙃
-
Make your own fireteam. Not everyone wants to play the way you do.
-
Was watching a streamer today doing legend & using in-game lfg, the people he matched with OMFG. People where literally going in with 2 resilience, nothing to stun champions, sweet business, people dying over & over & over.

OP: I get your frustration…though I don’t think a locked run is workable. I would prefer a selectable option, ie, 10- / 20- / 50-runs. This would enable players to make a more informed decision before they join. FWIW: my 50-run attempts have been an extended run if things are going well on my 20-run bounty run…got close a few times but always fell at the last fence due to any of the following - teleporting hoards of super tanky enemies / teammate issues / etc… And it’s happened way too many times, hence - Club 49! 🤨 I’ve stared into the LFG abyss…erm, nah! 🧐 Now, I do 10s and 20s…going for a 50 seems a bridge too far, for this ol’ tortoise. Ease springs! 🫡 Club 49er

Why don't you use the LFG system and create a team with a common goal?
-
No reason to stay. Playing 10 waves or 50 waves, basically the same rewards. You get 1 extra chest for finishing 50. Hilarious design.

Edited by Zodleon: 4/22/2024 8:57:30 AMChange character. close application. Turn off system. Unplug device. Solve these before suggesting that locking ppl out of leaving as it will be meaningless

I made a post about this a few days ago. There needs to be other options of wave lengths, 20, 30 or 40. 10 waves is too short and 50 waves takes too long, it's an hour time investment. While people shouldn't queue for 50 waves if they aren't going to finish it, life happens. You got kids, or got to take a dump or get disconnected and decide not to rejoin. Sometimes you get into real junk groups. I had a group where the other two hugged the ADU when facing a Tormentor, full health down to a sliver of health before I could get it dragged away. I wanted to leave real bad, but didn't.

Inb4 you see why players farm 10 waves instead of 50 on Legend

Changing your character will allow you to leave, or closing the game.
