Passage of Persistence needs changed
The total RNG of MM can make it insanely difficult to finish a card. We aren't getting lighthouse benefits. We can't farm adepts on the card. Just make it 7 total wins and call it a day.

I hate that Bungie gave casual players the idea that they should rule harder game modes like Onslaught 50 legend and Trials.

I think there is decent argument for changing the card to a simple total of getting 7 wins for the one adept drop. They don't get a flawless or go to the lighthouse or anything but at least they would be certain to get a loot drop from their persistence eventually to keep them coming back for more. If the purpose of the persistence card is to tempt those who can't or won't play trials into the pool of players to get the numbers up then most of those players will quickly get discouraged again after trying it as they win/lose over and over and make little or no progress. Remember that the more people playing the better and it can only help those who are good enough or sweaty enough to go flawless as well as there will be more fodder for them to farm wins on.

Lol. And here we see the infamous, "if you give a mouse a cookie..." syndrome in full display. And after they make it 7 wins... Well, you don't get to go the to lighthouse anyway, so may as well make it 5 wins. Then 3. Then just sell adept trials weapons for glimmer. But not too much glimmer. The ships etc too.

There’s no shot it’s that hard to get to 7 wins with the higher console population. Cmon now.

Trials is a pinnacle activity. If you run a GM but don't have a build, you'll fail most of the time. The same concept applies here, just keep practicing and grinding and eventually you'll improve enough to where you can string some wins together. Trials is already a joke with how easy flawless is with double mercy.

Adepts are nothing but a flex. Get yourself a good normal roll and be happy. If you want the shiny adept loot then you gotta earn it.

1 ReplyI think the card is fine where it is, although I would not be opposed to having it drop to 6 or even 5 win boxes. That would still keep it from being too easy while also making it more appealing to the players who win often for farming rolls.

1 ReplyI’ve been asking for something like this for years, but every time anyone suggested it, the PVP community gets real toxic with you. They’ll tell you that you’re just asking for Freebies, and at the same time complaining about how not enough people play trials.
