Sunsetting is being completely rolled back with Final Shape
Curious to see how this pans out. Who has something in their vault that they plan on using now?
I got my old kindled orchid with rampage kill clip still in there.
Edit: It is worth including the following for those who are disappointed in having dismantled their old loot.

Give us back thw old raids and all is ok hahahaha. I deleted my old stuff so makes no diference to me just want the old raids back and we will all be happy :) back when a raid seal needed a flawless run when they were fun.

They were told sunsetting was a terrible idea, and they did it anyways. I am done with them forever. I will forever bad mouth bungie and their products to everyone everywhere!

Well, more so manipulated into believing they had to dismantle their loot, just like they manipulated everyone by saying they had to remove all the contact they did that is still downloaded into your system taking up unnecessary space to reuse when they see fit. This reminds me of how Luke Smith when he was director told everyone it was okay to delete all their loot because certain items "were not coming back". It's a shame how easily people are manipulated into believing what this developer throws out there.

I don't care about any of my old loot. No matter what roll it had, or why I had it. If it gets reintroduced Brave weapon style, I'm cool with that.

2 RepliesAs someone who still has a few old, previously sunset weapons, I ask, what is the appeal of using any of those weapons over literally any weapon released since Beyond Light or Witch Queen? I get keeping trophy weapons, as I have, but they're not even as good as most average seasonal weapons from about the last two years.

I’m the type of person who just likes to use the new weapons and gear so this doesn’t really affect me all that much. But it’s great for people to use their old gear for new content

My current list is: - Wendigo (og version has blinding grenades still) - Hush - Oxygen SR4 - 21% Delirium - Kindled Orchid - Traveler’s Chosen (still best feeling legendary burst sidearm) - Line in the Sand - 17 Kelvins - Tempered Dynamo - Ringing Nail Just 10 lol.

I kept my ringing nail with light mag reload master wrk dragonfly rampage, and it is still a wrk horse for add clear in most content. Is it the best auto and perk roll no, but black armory weapons were the best looking weapons and the roll is still pretty good.

I’m happy I’ll be able to use Hush again. There’s probably a bunch of other bows that outdo it but I like how it’s specialised for hip fire. The Vow will also be good. It has the lowest draw speed of any bow I’ve seen and it has rapid hit and archer’s tempo which eliminate the greatest drawbacks of bows. Even Oxygen SR3 will be cool but scout rifles still hit weak for the dumbest of reasons so it may not feel too strong to use. Breakneck will also be great. Not having to touch Gambit again sounds like a win for me.

I deleted all my sunset weapons a few months ago 😭 I’ll never get to use that Horror’s Least again… Good news is I’m not too worried about not getting a god roll Luna’s when it rolls around. I will be farming for a good DRB if they bring it back though.

All sunset weapons are powercrept as hell in all forms of PvE, and in PvP you could still use weapons with no power deficit outside of Trials (which has better weapons anyways) This is for the players who left a long time ago and want to come back and reuse some old God rolls they have

Yes I got to use my Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten for like a month before they became useless. I also still have a curated Kindled Orchid that was my favorite hand cannon ever, definitely wiping the dust off these bad boys now !!

They will of course introduce more powerful versions with better perks that people will chase. When you act in a manner that is disingenuous in regards to your customers, it infects your entire organization. Integrity is immensely important in business. Companies can fool themselves in the short term and grab some easy money, but they will lose much more money in the long run. When you get stuck or take a wrong turn while traveling it is usually due to lack of attention or focus. That is when you use the reverse gear. Edit: To clarify, I was not against the idea of sunsetting per se, Bungie announcing a hard deadline to sunset gear was beyond stupid imo. You simply powercreep the guns and make the players delete them. Then you bring new versions back and everyone is happy. When you program an addictive loop into a game it also impacts management. I think this is a prime example.
