It says in the TWiD that Bungie is going to reintroduce sources for most or all legacy weapons, I believe.

 • You mean how they "reintroduced" Blast Furnace with barrels instead of scopes? Or how they "reintroduced" Drang without Opening Shot?

 • No, I posted what I meant; that Bungie stated they're going to reintroduce sources for most or all Legacy gear.

 • When Bungie reintroduced things, they leave perks behind. For example, if you have a sunset Blast Furnace, you have more range than my updated Blast Furance, because your roll came with scopes. It is NOT a replacement if the new rolls are missing perks. The best solution is to allow players to craft the sunset versions of weapons. Bungie can still release the updated versions, but at least no one will have the advantage of using a weapon that is no longer obtainable

 • I don't understand what that has to do with what I said; I don't make these decisions, I only relayed the information given to us via the Bungie TWiD.

 • Ah, I see! Yes, I agree.

 • Yeah, I read that. But Bungie can be very lazy and it may take months or even years to bring them back. I mean Mindbender’s was just reintroduced like a year ago. So two whole years go by and then it’s reintroduced? I don’t want to go into the Crucible and see players having a blast with their old Spare Rations and Mindbender’s while I’m sitting here with just another carbon copy of the last meta shotty. Or Bungie brings them back with different perks and it destroys the gun. That’s why people don’t use Mindbender’s, because it’s not the same. My thoughts? Make Onslaught permanent, when TFS drops, make them the droppable weapons and allow players to attune them.

 •
Make Onslaught permanent
It is permanent...
make them the droppable weapons and allow players to attune them.
Make what the droppable weapons? spare rations/mindbenders? all the sunset guns? because if you're talking about mass dumping in a load of previously sunset guns you're going to kill the activity

 •
It is permanent...
No it isn’t… it goes away in like a month… it’s only here for Into The Light…
Make what the droppable weapons? spare rations/mindbenders? all the sunset guns? because if you're talking about mass dumping in a load of previously sunset guns you're going to kill the activity
No, there should be a rotation. Every week. I believe somewhere around 100 weapons were sunset, and not all of which are desirable. If I had to guess, only about 40 weapons should actually be brought back. 10 weapons per rotation, 4 rotations. Just like Master Dungeons. This wouldn’t kill the activity, but it would actually keep players enticed. Every week there’s a new desirable weapon to farm. They could split up the most popular ones, that way each week there was at least one desirable weapon. Dust Rocks one week, Duke the next, Bygones the next, and lastly Alone As A God. It would keep players not only coming back, but staying in as long as there was one weapon per week that they wanted. Attuning would also help this farm not be frustrating. Perhaps even shinies could drop as well.
No it isn’t… it goes away in like a month… it’s only here for Into The Light…
You should start reading TWIDs and looking at roadmaps. Only Pantheon and Hall of Champions had end dates listed.
ONSLAUGHT ACTIVITY AND BRAVE ARSENAL WEAPONS The Onslaught activity and its BRAVE arsenal weapon rewards will move to Vanguard Ops as a dedicated playlist when The Final Shape releases. We are planning for weapon attunement to return in a new form sometime during Echoes.
https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/article/twid-04-18-2024
I believe somewhere around 100 weapons were sunset, and not all of which are desirable.
Try closer to 300. A good chunk of the list have already been reprised and are either still available or became unavailable again so the list falls closer to ~200-220 of non-reprised https://www.shacknews.com/article/139671/all-sunset-weapons-destiny-2
If I had to guess, only about 40 weapons should actually be brought back. 10 weapons per rotation, 4 rotations. Just like Master Dungeons.
They covered that in this weeks TWID
We understand that many old Power limited items have been dismantled by this point, and we regret that we have no recovery mechanism for these. Going forward, we intend to reintroduce sources for most or all of these, updated to modern Destiny sandbox standards with added properties such as Origin Traits and buildcrafting perks (as we have started to do with the BRAVE arsenal in Destiny 2: Into the Light).
https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/article/this_week_in_destiny_04_25_24 So 4 rotations of 10* weapons, what about the other 100+ when they're added and the Brave arsenal? we gonna start doing 15 rotation weeks of onslaught?

 •
ONSLAUGHT ACTIVITY AND BRAVE ARSENAL WEAPONS The Onslaught activity and its BRAVE arsenal weapon rewards will move to Vanguard Ops as a dedicated playlist when The Final Shape releases. We are planning for weapon attunement to return in a new form sometime during Echoes.
That’s mb, I forgot about that. Still, some of the BRAVE arsenal is obtainable from the game now, like Succession or the Recluse or Luna roll from the Monument. So BRAVE weapons that are reprised Sunset weapons could just stay in the weapon pool. Onslaught would just be the “reobtain Sunsets” playlist.
Try closer to 300. A good chunk of the list have already been reprised and are either still available or became unavailable again so the list falls closer to ~200-220 of non-reprised
And a ton of those aren’t chaseworthy. With my math, it would be around 80 weapons. Of course, 80 weapons is a lot. It doesn’t matter which are chaseworthy, 80 is too much. No matter how many weapons are sunset, anything over 50 is too much.
So 4 rotations of 10* weapons, what about the other 100+ when they're added and the Brave arsenal? we gonna start doing 15 rotation weeks of onslaught?
Do you know exactly how many Brave weapons there are? If there was say, 20 Brave weapons, and Bungie reprised 40 Sunset weapons, that’s 60 weapons. 60 weapons, 10 weapons per rotations, that’s 6 rotations. Every month and a half, it resets. That’s about the same amount of time that the Dungeon rotator resets.

 • The "shiny" variants of the BRAVE weapons are leaving, the normal versions and Onslaught are staying.

 • Why do people insist on telling others what "they meant?" I posted what I meant, and I know this for a fact because I was there when I posted it. As I stated to someone else, this was the information given and this was the information I relayed. How you choose to interpret that is at your discretion.

 • Wow the joke about shinies and adepts being practically the same thing went over your head. Maybe take some time to calm down and vent if you are going to get offended by not recognizing a joke.

 • Actually, I think we both owe a bit of an apology to one another because I was using a joke (of sorts, some liberty was taken) of a line Joe Pantoliano said in a movie: "What did I say? Did you hear what I said? I heard what I said because I was standing there when I said it!" 'Bad Boys,' I think it was from but I'm not positive on that part.

 • And I apologize as well, I have a habit of making references that don't often land, lol. For what it's worth, the first 2 movies were really good (in my opinion anyway) but I haven't seen the last 2.
