They didn't actually lie. Game development is a constantly moving thing and as times move forward so must the Devs adapt and as destiny 2 is older and let's face it at a crossroads where it will continue for 5 plus more years or fall of in population and get abandoned the Devs must reconsider and the sunsetting getting reversed is very clearly a bi product of them trying to make high end content more accessible. But yet it still stings a bit even though a lot of sunset guns have been powercrept or have plenty of equals now. Just enjoy the game as it won't be around forever

Games all the way back to 1993. Half Life 2, Duke Nukem 3D, RE2, FF8 ect.
