Help for new players in Pantheon
The only major problem with Pantheon is that it's open to all players. Even New Lights. Pantheon is a little more difficult, as it adds more enemies and adds more players affected by debuffs. Older players are telling new players to not play it. New players are trying to run it, but may not have experience.
I feel a limit needs to be set on the activity. Be at least Guardian Rank 7. I would like to see what could be done for other new players.

Have a reduced difficulty version of Pantheon. Lower the rewards (no adepts, no emblem or possibly a different one) but still offer a raid exotic (one ‘easy’ to obtain raid exotic is not going to break the game). [b]Encourage[/b] engagement. It might actually increase general player interest in the game.

Think I will be diving into pantheon all weekend with randoms and new lights just for the crack, we'll all get slaughtered but we'll have more fun and laughs than all of you raid ring seekers.

I am rank 6. First run through took us 4 hrs because some of us didn’t know basic mechanism. But we got platinum ironically. 2nd took us 1 hr.

Putting together an Raid 101 was already hard, you see each raid encounter teaches the Raid as a whole. Each encounter adds a lesson so come the final boss, you have all the Stuff you need to do the Final Boss. Imagine trying to do Oryx, without learning anything from the Raid. If you did the Raid in Full, Oryx is about a 20 min teach, but through Patheon which can drop oryx as a Boss, imho, looks like a 3-5 Hour Teach. Kingsfall can be done under 1 Hour if its a Raid 101. Pantheon is an abomination on Raids. As an Older player, i Agree...To New Players..Dont play Pantheon.

2 RepliesI would like to see a light version of every raid encounter available to everyone. Remove all the enemies. Let new players focus on mechanics and strategies. Once they have that down, work on load-outs based on walkthrough videos. Only then will we have an entire community that is ready to raid. Imagine.

Honestly raid report ruined the entire game. I seen too many people make LFG Post like newer players and because newer players don't have a good rate on raid report players are leaving the activity. The issues you are having it's not just the new activity it's for all raids

3 RepliesExcept it literally is open to all players. I help people all the time and have done full runs of people completely clueless and full of doubt. The only people it ISNT open to are people who give in to stereotypes that raid people are toxic or people who give in to self doubt that they can’t do it. Also raids are the best thing Bungie has made besides halo and they shouldn’t just stop making it because people are scared of it.

There shouldnt be limiters, everyone paid for access to the content so they can play as they wish. This is why people say this community is toxic and elitist. Just because you can speed run raids doesnt mean that all or even ANY content should be catered to "higher skilled players", once you reach that point YOU become your difficulty scaler; you dont demand it be harder for your sake and tell everyone else to not play it. -

If you’re Raid experienced in all raid bosses featured, and your gear is at maximum optimisation, and your weapons are meta - then, have at it! 1 ReplyThe rank you have has nothing to do with it Pantheon isn't recommended for new players, If you go into it not knowing what to do chances Of you getting kicked from the fireteam are VERY high, think of pantheon as a raid for master raiders, People who know these boss fights, people who Know these encounters, they've ran it about Ten thousand times or more, raid enthusiasts, People who like the very HARD content, I do not recommend, new players go into pantheon... Gather some knowledge first and run the individual raids, take time to learn them.

It's not the amount of extras, it's learning the mechanics and the way to do that is ether watching YouTube or doing the raids parts it's self. I've done pantheon but as a solo player it took 3 days to get lucky with 5 other that could do it too. Best thing is to learn all aspects

Guardian Rank seven is a horrible idea. To become rank seven you need to do lightfall dlc. That prevents many players from participating. All raids are easy. This game is a baby game. You should be able to three man all three bosses this week.

Guardian rank means absolutely nothing, and Pantheon this week isn't even difficult. -5 power is nothing. If you get a newer player, just explain the mechanics, my first Pantheon clear I had someone who had never done a raid before (watched videos but never actually attempted them) and 3 who barely raided (a couple clears each). Communicate with your team, explain mechanics if someone's lost and get the W. Might take a while but you'll get there. If you care that much then just don't invite newer players

I agree Pantheon should have some kind of gatekeeping. But guardian ranks means nothing. Maybe request the triumph to have completed all the raids in the mode. But then, it would be cool if we had a free for all pantheon without barriers and without level cap, focused on New players, but with less rewards, of course.
