Onslaught legendary shiny drop rate is so bad…
Everyone I’ve talked to has agreed that the longer you do this activity and the more legendary onslaught run you complete, the worst the shiny drop rate is for you.
Bungie, please seriously increase the shiny drop rate already. It is absolutely ridiculous that I have not gotten a single shiny in the last 9 or 10 runs that I’ve done.
Me and buddy of mine helped another friend who only has a few clears through it earlier today and he got 4 in one run! Both me and my buddy haven’t gotten a single shiny all weekend.
This is BS…

Well here we go, onslaught has given us a bit of a nostalgia trip and taken us back to pre-witch queen, forsaken level grind. It's fun spending weeks and weeks trying to get the weapon and the roll you want, isn't it?

I really wonder if Bungie will ever learn that making content that takes a considerable amount of time to complete SHOULD be rewarding and i mean REWARDING because what we're getting now is just burnout right before TFS Bungie being so inclusive, diverse and brave should be inclusive and brave enough to include proper amount of rewards for their players. But nah that's where they draw the line.

Normally I’d be fine with the shinies being low drop rate but since they’re being removed having them be limited with low drops is really dumb.

I enjoy the grind and have really missed the chase we used to have. It's just an ornament, so it's cool, but some of my best rolls are non-shiny. No big deal to me.

It's literally so simple. At the end of a legendary onslaught, you should be able to buy your shiny of choice from the Shaxx hologram for 50 trophies. Done deal.

6 RepliesI barely got my first one, Luna's howl. I'm not counting the one you get when doing the quest. But the shiny drops are almost nonexistent for me. Even the regular drops are dropping with -blam!- rolls. So I'll take w.e I got, and I'm just not gonna bother with it anymore. I'm not gonna put myself in that grind anymore when you could barely even get 1. Bungie and their greed. I know they are throttling us, I know they purposely made the drop rates so low. I never understood their mentality. Always when there's a limited time event, it's almost more grind than your normal grind you experience in the game. Their events are always rigged, and always have to grind to the point that you have to treat the activity as a 2nd job. Limited events need to be more rewarding. It's a short event. What if you go the whole event without getting what you farmed for? This is what we get, since some were complaining about crafting. Now, we have an endless grind with no hope at the end. All that time invested, and you get to walk away and say I never got the roll I grinded for. I wish we could of crafted these

4 RepliesAnd the trophy amounts are horrifying. I did a full 50 wave clear, with all the bonus objectives done, and I got 24 trophies.

Edited by goldy411: 5/6/2024 12:38:18 PMMy tin foil hat theory is they got a gambling style algorithm in the game. Didn’t play for multiple weeks and got 5 shinies in 2 runs right off the bat. Been playing regularly and got about 5 shinies in 20 runs.

I've had plenty drop. They don't guarantee good perks, so I don't know what the fuss is about.

It is bad in both normal and legendary! I have seen one drop and that is all. My friends have seen none! All the hype about lots of loot dropping, was just that hype. All the armor is low stat so you might as well call that nonexistent, and there are so many weapon perks for each weapon the chance of getting a good roll let alone the best roll is terrible. Most of what you get is bad. The drop rates for the special shiny weapons should be much higher.

4 RepliesQuit playing it so much. Come back in 3 or 4 days and you’ll get a few. Rinse and repeat. Otherwise you are literally being your own enabler.

This developer respecting a players time is the last thing some of you should have expected being fully aware this is how it's always been with most of the activities in this game for years. You will not like this, but if anyone is upset it's on them for taking the bait. You guys choose to spend many hours chasing the dangling carrot, no one is forcing you to.

But if you complain on the forum about something non essential, the Ninjas come out? Wake up people. They know who they are and I hope they are reading these comments. This Onslaught business was nothing but a crafty way to try to save a game that's basically finished before it's forcasted end. "We're introducing a game mode where you can get all those lost, iconic weapons that were game changing. Not only that, for a limited time, some will drop with a rare shader and extra traits. Later on, these traits can be enhanced." Sounds fantastic...to all the sycophants, but the true players, and once lovers of this game, knew what was coming. A game mode that you have to grind for hundreds of hours for a currancy that gives roughly half a token per round, (24 for 50 rounds). A game mode that drops a lot of these weapons, but the traits are so bad that they end up being dismantled. And the ones with special shaders? Almost non existant. Even the if the god rolls drop, they are nowhere near as powerful as what the originals where. I would have respected Bungie so much more if they would have let us get the originals from collections and allow us to infuse them to max power. And I cannot imagine how anyone can defend Onslaught.
