Why even make exotic weapons you nerf them into oblivion.
Makes no sense, take ostio the last nerf killed it but let’s -blam!- it up even more. Why? It was fun to poison everything. We like fun bungie.

Honestly, the nerf to Mida in D1 was the first real overreaction to complaints by Bungie. I spent a looooong time going after MIDA because I liked scouts in D1 and when I finally had it drop I loved it... Then Bungie nerfed it a month later. Literally the only thing that made Mida an exotic was the knock back... And that what they nerfed... Turning it into a worthless exotic.

1 ReplyAnyone who has played Destiny for a long time should know how Bungie work by now. They bring out weapons for us to grind, and when they think enough players have got them, and are using them [i]too [/i]much, they nerf them into the ground so they become feeble. Then they bring other weapons to grind for, and the repetitive cycle begins again. It's nothing to do with power creep or weapon balancing. It's more like they have to keep us underpowered and grinding for the next gen of weapons, because they don't like us to have an easy ride, and they don't like us to have fun. Which is the fundamental reason why we all play video games.

Because it makes other weapons shine more like thorn or Necrochasm or Touch of malice. At least thats the bullsh!t bungie wants you to believe in. Truth is its so you chase the next broken toy they're trying to push in each new expansion. Cause without nerfing striga people wouldn't want to use Necrochasm over striga, its complete bs that they can't just buff it and make everything even no they have to nerf everything else to make you want to use the other guns cause bungie is full of idiots.

The nerf is literally only a 4 second cooldown. You'll be able to nuke rooms again after the cooldown. The only nerf that doesn't make sense is the Lament nerf. That weapon is particularly good in solo flawless dungeons.

7 RepliesJust use Thorn instead. Osteo was still broken after the nerf. Theres so many buffs coming d look at weapons that benefit from those.

1 ReplyRead my mind. Exotics should always be usable and decent otherwise why make them at all? I think the pre-dlc nerfs also hurt new players who don't have as many options. It's nice when you are new to have some pre-rolled decent weapons.

The same reason they nerfed it the first time. Not enough people using Necro.
