This game is very anti new player

I came back to destiny after about a year. hopped into pvp. Big nope, everyone else felt like pvp gods using handcannons or pulses. Then I was like ok let's try some pve. Hopped into the mission for the strand exotic bow, got absolutely torn apart. But I kept going and got to the boss room. As soon as I stepped in I died in maybe 2 to 3 seconds. The only way I was able to beat it was using my super, die, rinse and repeat until it was dead. Then i found out that i need to run it again at a higher difficulty and i was like hell no. When did parts of this game become nearly impossible for solo casual players, and I have no intention of spending hundreds if not thousands of hours into this game to git gud. And looking at this forum, a lot of you people are incredibly toxic. So go rip me apart in the comments idgaf. This game is -blam!-

  • That’s just the state of the game industry as whole these days. Live service games everywhere rotate content in and out creating a sense of “what’s going on” and fomo for new players which in turn makes it hard to get interested playing. Games being to big and not clearly teaching players what to do or how to do it due having so much to keep track of. I like having a lot to do and getting thrown into the fire as much as anyone else but only after I’ve had time to learn stuff. Games needing to be treated like a full time job to get any enjoyment or fun out of them. (This one is subjective so take with a grain of salt) the need to feel like you have to sweat in games rather than having fun (I know some people live to sweat in games but i take the side of games should be fun) sbmm in every multiplayer game and the rise in difficult content has been a huge pain point in games for me recently. Making it hard for me to pick up new games these days. I’ve had many of my friends ask me if destiny 2 is worth getting into. I tell them only if you like sweating every game, have no life, abd have a crap ton of money due the dlc prices and microtransactions.
