This game is very anti new player
I came back to destiny after about a year. hopped into pvp. Big nope, everyone else felt like pvp gods using handcannons or pulses. Then I was like ok let's try some pve. Hopped into the mission for the strand exotic bow, got absolutely torn apart. But I kept going and got to the boss room. As soon as I stepped in I died in maybe 2 to 3 seconds. The only way I was able to beat it was using my super, die, rinse and repeat until it was dead. Then i found out that i need to run it again at a higher difficulty and i was like hell no. When did parts of this game become nearly impossible for solo casual players, and I have no intention of spending hundreds if not thousands of hours into this game to git gud. And looking at this forum, a lot of you people are incredibly toxic. So go rip me apart in the comments idgaf. This game is -blam!-

PVP just takes time, I'm still not "good" per se in terms of like Trials flawless & all of that but where I am now vs when I started isnt even comparable. You just have to be prepared to eat a ton of s*** along the way to being decent lol. I probably played Rumble 25 times in a row before I even got one kill then I tried Control & started having a little success then build from there. Same way with PVE, I goofed around forever before I even tried anything remotely difficult because I didnt think I would be able to do it. Never tried any builds the first couple of years either but I ended up watching some build videos one day & then through trial & error I got through my first dungeon solo, it wasnt pretty though. It took me a good minute to solo that Starcrossed mission youre talking about on normal & once I did I didnt think I would ever be able to solo it on legend but watched a few build videos on that, gave it a try, & finally got through it. Getting into it is a rough process though, I definitely agree with that.
