Title says it all, heavy isn't hard to fight but high level pvp should be primarily focused on PRIMARY gunfights more than anything. Heavy is up for too long, swords should not get nearly as much ammo as they do. I get heavy weapons are a big part of the game but I just do not think they have a place in endgame pvp. That's my rant. I don't care if you disagree, this is just my opinion, and everyone has their own.

I will never understand how people can support the existence of heavy. It isnt skill dependent, whether you get it or not, it depends on the loadout and spawns. If it was skill dependent, it would reward the team that is already playing better. What for? The only thing it does is forcing fight in positions, that can be more advantageous for one team than the other at random. Especially in Trials, it spawns way too early to give any incentive for map control, it rather makes it a race of which Titan placed his shield faster. In comp, it is literally just random - the team with the better position when it spawns gets it.

Sure. Or at the least nuke the amount of ammo that grenade launchers get from the box
-
I beg to differ that trials is endgame content.
-
I won a round in trials thanks to enemy grabbing heavy and blowing himself up. I think it should stay.

At the very least reduce the amount of ammo Machine Guns get. Hammerhead just returned with Killing Tally, allowing it to grow more efficient as it secures kills.

I agree with this. I understood before as it centralised and forced combat but with zones every round it isn’t needed.
-
Disagree. It's 1 round in Trials. And in Comp, it DOES give an important objective to chase after and an incentive to control the map rather than sitting in spawn.
-
I get it. You aren't good enough to get to heavy first. I'm not either. If you can't get the heavy ammo first: sucks to be you.
-
Its fine on dissonance in particular because you take a risk trying to get it. There' a lot of maps where it ends up going to the team that's already winning or it just flips matches based on luck, but dissonance does it right.

Based AF Heavy has no place at ALL in pvp, but quickplay doesn't really matter so whatever, but it needs to be removed from Comp and Trials.
-
Imo supers don’t have a place either but it is part of destiny’s identity

I was in a 1v3 Got two down and a GL shot hits me and the enemy wasn't on the radar. I was like "Well... that happened" I agree with the heavy, especially how it's a freebie for either side and the rounds are already short enough. But in the mean time, that death from the GL shot beyond radar range became engraved in my head. Now I'm more alert and to be honest I forgot it was heavy round, I would've guarded it instead of leaving it open to be used against me. Maybe Bungie will change it (great) but if not, do your best to be the person with the Heavy and the reality is we won't win everytime, but we do improve. I did feel the frustration of out smarting the team and getting down to a 1v1 to turn and see a GL shot flying at me 🤣... but it's whatever I'll do better next time.
