Petition for Bungie to employ Byf to narrate an official Audiobook

Before I start. I know there will be a flurry of keyboard warriors who flood this with negativity saying the lore is boring or Byf’s voice isn’t their cup of tea (unlikely to use those words). But I imagine those people don’t listen to Audiobooks anyway. So this probably isn’t for you. Now that’s out the way. I think the community largely agree that when it comes down to Lore. Byf is probably the man on top of it all. There are obviously others, Myelin does a fantastic job, but Byf put so much effort in to his lore content I certainly consider him the go to. The Speaker if you like. I was listening/watching some of his latest (10hr!!!) story content yesterday. Leading up to the final shape. And it really dawned on me that the story should really be available somewhere outside of YouTube in audio format. It’s the perfect Audiobook content to listen to and in my opinion, for that genre, Byfs voice is perfect. Articulate, clear and eloquent. Really do think Bungie should either employ him (I’m not even sure Byf would accept money) or at least authorise him to officially release the story content on to listening platforms. I’d certainly listen to it. I guess there’s nothing stopping Byf doing that himself now, maybe there is. But I’d love to see that. Bungie, for better or worse, have often embraced and supported creative members of their community. From cookbooks to cosplay, fan art to films. Would be a great gesture

Byf is a bit of an acquired taste, but he does have a following. In any case I don’t know if an “official” story book of destiny exists in that it is not just a collection of a bunch of grimoir entries/lore cards. They did produce these hard copy books, I have 3 of them, but they’re just hard copy prints of what is already there with a few illustrations. And I don’t think you can have a palatable story of Destiny if you just read the sometimes cryptic, vague nothingburgers that some of those entries are. Don’t get me wrong, quite a few of the entries are good reads, but in order to have a full “official” account Bungie would have to at least collaborate on something that makes sense for the casual listener that isn’t 10 hours long and doesn’t need an explanation attached. Otherwise you might as well just stick with what Byf already did.
