Armor sets obtained from prior sunset era have deprecated perks, mods, and masterworks. These sets only have low base stats and lock u with two possible options between resilience, recovery, and mobility.
The perks for the oldest is a masterwork slot and two options for perks dedicated for each armor slot. Ex legs have Dynamo or orb regen. Arms have quick reload or flinch resistance.
I would advocate that these perks, mods, and masterworks be enabled again and no longer deprecated. I have a few good sets that can be infused for a total light level increase but all the stats and perks are dead. Why advertise unsunsetting armor if you didn't truly do so? You just enable numbers to go up but the functionality of them are stripped away. I feel like every time the teams roll back bad decisions it's half baked and breaks.

The move from “1.0” Armor the “Armor 2.0” system which launched in October of 2019 and completely reworked the old armor system for something more versatile is entirely separate from the mass Sunsetting of older gear which occurred with the launch of Beyond Light in November of 2020. The existence of Transmogrification entirely removes the necessity to update 1.0 Armor to make it functional in the current game as you can simply complete bounties at Ada-1 to create Universal Ornaments of older Armor pieces to apply to currently viable Armor pieces.
