Name change - Bot Response

I sincerely hope the fall from the high horse doesn’t hurt the people insisting this was intended.
Name got changed after patch for no reason displaying cross-play is now enabled.
I didn't make any changes to the cross-play nor the name was offensive. Multiple threads have already been created where the Forum bots provide the same response that name was changed due to blah blah.
Something got messed up after the update or Bungie needs to come clear that the names were in a pool to be reset and just happened to happen now.
It could have been better to give a heads up to Guardians, if you think your name is offensive please change it before patch X.
Edit: The fact that they haven't addressed it until now, after the countless threads and X comments shows a lot unfortunately.
Edit 2: 5 hours still no acknowledgment, this rocks

7 RepliesTux isn't a bot. Only Bungie know why some got changed. If someone has King Charles as a gamer tag Charles is a real name. So bungie would filter it. (This is only a example not further)

Your name was changed because it violated Bungie's policies. It doesn't matter how long you had it, if it violates the policies, then it will be removed at some point. It was removed recently because someone reported it and Bungie found it violated their policies. There is no bug, and it is not a result of the maintenance. Bungie has just performed a massive ban wave. If you have any name changes left, you can change it again. If you don't, then you're stuck with the default Guardian name. Review the Bungie Name guide for more information.
