Directly or indirectly freezing a target when using Verglas is a detrimental playstyle to the bow, meaning that when freezing a target, if the shatter damage from the freeze gets the kill, it will not make another arrow. This happens at almost every stasis update where the stasis effects now cannot make more hailstorm arrows. Right now the artifact stasis mod prevents arrows from being made, the new shatter changes prevent them from being made, and everything but shatter damage from the stasis crystals themselves do not make arrows. Also while you're at it, explosive enemy kills from any shatter don't count either but that applies to neigh every perk in the game.
At this point just rework the catalyst so that kills from any source of shatter damage or stasis effect makes an arrow. Even better would be to make an arrow whenever an enemy shatters. The change in draw time from applying a stasis effect doesn't matter to a weapon where you have to take extra time to shatter multiple crystals, especially because [i]the arrows 1-shot a crystal even without drawing the bow.[/i] It's a fun weapon but every time I come across an enemy that doesn't get 1-shot by a crystal shattering the loop is broken, even if it's just a single cabal legionnaire in a playlist strike.

I was just thinking about making a post about this bow, but for a different reason. I feel like the perk hail storm seems redundant since it says that hits with the arrows slow or freeze targets, but it's referring to the special hip fire arrows which is still dumb since they spawn stasis crystals which intrinsically freeze or slow targets so having a perk that does the same thing is point less. I'd rather they change it so that it adds headstone or maybe gives you frost armor when you land rapid crits.
