First off, each Exotic Class Glaive needs to do more damage and have an intrinsic champ mod effect after aiming with full glaive energy. Solar=Barrier. Arc=Overload Void=Unstoppable. Catalysts for them would be nice too. Graverobber, Subsistence, and some other stupid perk option. Why not.
Secondly the damage on these in endgame content is really bad and enemy damage will ignore the glaive shield too often, making it a coin toss whether you shield up and survive. Stopping health regen while guarding needs to go.
And lastly, damage perk and Exotic perk compatibility is a -blam!- mess. Almost as bad as special Grenade launcher hidden stat and magazine/frame BS. Creating a weapon type just to stifle its synergy and potential out of paranoia and fear of players having fun and actually killing strong enemies with Glaives just BLOWS MY MIND. Let the damn things breathe for once.

Just the fact that we’re running a glaive should be enough to let glaives double melee in PvP. Like I understand Bungie thinks it’ll be too strong, but using a glaive in the first place is reason enough for them to double melee. Maybe slow down the animation a lil. Shield needs to tank more damage too, I also think that your shield should automatically activate when you’re being shot at, or have a perk for it or something. I’d also like to see glaives get an exotic or something that lets you deflect projectiles like Arc Staff.
