Can we stop saying this company made Halo? Or Destiny 2 for that matter?

Bungie likes to throw that out there now and again; "We made Halo". But, they didn't. A team of people made halo, they just happened to be working at the studio. Those people, that team, has been gone for ages, and they are not coming back. Stop looking at companies through the eyes of past glory. They moved on, if the games no longer suit you, then you should too. I say this because I see so many of these "I hate this game and company to the point of despair!" posts and just want to say; If you cannot enjoy being here then just... don't be. I fail to see how it is so hard to understand that idea. This is a game, it is for fun, if fun is not gained, then put game down. I just stick around for the fashion. I enjoy screen-shotting the areas that the art department makes up. As for the guns, I couldn't care less. Its story I'm after. I want to feel invited to explore the worlds. But that's not how Bungie does it anymore. No, now when a new location is dropped via a campaign or seasonal pass the entire area is explored to its fullest through said campaign. This leaves myself asking in recent years; Why would I go back there? There's nothing left. As for the stories themselves well, I had a rude awakening to the future of Destiny when Lightfall released. I don't think I was alone in that either. But they had been good, I thought, up until then, so I called it Bungie using their one "Screw Up" token with me. Then came the Final shape... And I was bored out of my mind with Final Shape. The ending was neat, loved the 12 man activity. Haven't bothered to do the raid in full at all yet. Mainly I just thought the campaign was such a waste. The entire campaign structured around the triumphant return of Cayde-6, at least that's how it was sold. Though I think it was the original intent to have him stick around, but like the Season following Lightfall, Bungie felt they needed a character death to get a emotional hit from the players. Its just too bad that if you weren't at least 4 years into the game Cayde had no meaning to you at all because his entire involvement in the game was cut out a few years back. So his death, again, probably hit with all the emotional force of a feather. As for me, I just kinda went "That was a expensive one-off VA". Thus my thinking he was intended to stick around, before that 6 month delay and restructuring occurred. If you made it this far, don't think that I'm yet another Bungie hater that lurks the forums. That's not what I'm saying at all, rather I am a fan of the world that was set up by the games years ago. I just think they haven't a clue what to do with it anymore. I play this "Destiny 2" game almost every day. Not really doing anything, just taking screenshots and making armor/shader combos. Any weapon added to the game just feels pointless. Why would I grind for days for a gun that isn't a noticeable stepup from my current one? So you might have to two phase a raid boss, the horror. Thanks for reading my random post. And I hope you get whatever it is you're looking for out of this game. For me now, it's nothing more than transmogging armors, and taking screenshots. Good hunting.

  • Considering theres still staff who did work on the Halo series kinda invalidates your intro, Jason Jones for example one of the og's/co founders is still very much working here. I blame Pete for all of Bungies failures, -blam!- that guy. That out of the way, lets get back to making pretty screenshots
