Hi, I logged in today to find that my Bungie.net profile was hacked last night. They changed my profile name (using up my only name-change in the process) and linked a Steam account and Epic account that aren't mine. Luckily, in-game, the worst thing they did was just making some cosmetic changes to my hunter and warlock but I'd like to get my account secured so nothing serious does happen going forward. How to I open a ticket to get this resolved?

Edited by BNGHelp3: 11/25/2024 2:41:00 AMHey there, there is no ticket for support like this - you access Bungie.net by authenticating through one of your linked game platform accounts, and THAT is how someone else got into it. So someone has the login and password for one of your linked accounts. Bungie doesn't store those details, the authentication goes through the platform's own security, which gives Bungie the 'all clear' or 'no go'. You need to go through each of your accounts - XBox, PSN, Steam, Epic...Twitch too just in case (it can be used as a site login) and change your passwords. You may want to consider setting up two-factor authentication on all of them. Also you need to figure out HOW they managed to get hold of your details, did you re-use your platform password and your registration email address on a less than secure site like a forum, for example. Because if you can't figure that part out, your accounts will never be safe.
