would like to hear people's theories on what will be happening in these upcoming expansions; me personally i HOPE each one will be centered around xivu and nezarec, since i feel like killing them off in episodes seems a bit lame.
additionally: i theorise the curse of nezarec on mithrax is turning him into a second "cocoon" of sorts, meaning he finds rebirth in mithrax's death somehow, but act 3 will result in fikrul's death.

Well vex will play a role in frontiers as seen in the concept art

Hard to say. Considering how the first episode wasn’t resolved, the amount of outstanding narrative threads and the sheer lot entail for new stuff… And worst of all is that they still can’t write a good story
-
Apollo most likely exploring the system (or new planet) Behemoth maybe fine another disciple
-
players like always will get mad for not having something bungie never said
-
Osiris catches Saint in a compromising situation involving sweeper bot, a brush and a vacuum cleaner. The melodrama is stretched out for 12 weeks but ends up somehow turning into a surprise anniversary party for Osiris.
-
My theory is that there'll be bugs and lots of pissed off gamers.
-
We have to go talk to people on projectors
-
I just realized that Calus didn't get a wake up Echo. Calus better come back at some point.
-
Think the name Apollo is a big clue, written 3 very detailed theories on the implications
-
No idea really. But I beg you all to PLEASE remember Lightfall. Remember Echoes. Just don;t jump on the pre-order train because of trailers, Bungie is great at trailers, epic marketing team. But was it worth the fallout? Wait and see.

Soft reboot with us leaving earth permanently (maybe sol system) the difficulty will be lowered and the game will be rebuilt with a focus on bringing in new players and making it more accessible if you skip dlcs or seasons.

More complaints. More Bungie corporate shenanigans.

I hope we finally get to encounter the Nine for reals, Trials of the Nine felt neutered.
-
So
the expansion team was fully laid off, the seasonal teams now take over basically doing the same job they always did, by that I mean next year had 2 planned episodes & they're now being called 'mini dlcs' because they think changing names fools people. These will be very small, one is something to do with the fallens planet, we go there, & the other is going to oryxs throne world or home world, sorry I forget the exact details. There's 2 seasons for the year, seasonal event & loot etc but no cutscenes or story. There's a raid & dungeon, smaller in scale than usual.
-
Nerfs. Soy. That much is certain.
-
We will get one than one of two things happen marathon does good and destiny2 is put on life support with minor updates and fixes. Second it all gets shut down

Edited by Shockwave 989: 12/5/2024 8:50:39 PMBy the message from the anomaly in Vespers we might be seeing some Nine related time shenanigans with some Golden Age/Collapse era human(s) returning after being displaced in some fashion. There’s also the threads of Osiris and Saint wanting to explore outside the system, as well as both the Cabal and Eliksni expressing some interest in returning home. (The Cabal to retake their home from the Hive, the Eliksni to find any survivors of the Whirlwind that didn’t go to Sol.) Whatever the case, our leaving the system to some capacity is inevitable.

Apollo > the sun.. something there.. even an accidental unstoppable event (stray black hole.. supernova.. gamma ray burst enough to create a disaster for the solar system) flings us into a survival situation... since we must use our guns I guess an alien threat brand new or tighter living conditions with the current enemies in system.. so we are rescuing civilians and scouting where they can go Behemoth > probably a big ship... survivors left or some go here.. or just scouting/colonize type ship... leave either the solar system or even this arm of the milky way... hmm maybe tether to a rogue star passing by... and maybe wake up thousands of years in the future... this allows new player-base too because perhaps the origins are less important after so much time.. and so far away.. maybe more sci-fi tinged.. can reset powers..
-
Time Travel, what all science fiction shows/ movies/ stories do. We the guardians- somehow get flung back into an alternate timeline- set at the start of what was D1. All currently known powers are gone. We have to go on quests and build a new tower/ base , new leadership, and as we do so unlock all new powers.

Edited by Hesh: 12/5/2024 9:17:36 AMOh! Oh! The only thing I hope for is that the franchise keeps getting worse and more hilarious, like it always does! HAHAH! If Liz’s supposed leaks of Frontiers are to be believed, it’s gonna be a kneeslapper for sure! And it’s got nothing to do with Nezarec OR Xivu! HAH! I can’t wait!
