As mentioned in the title, it seems to be random, but quite persistent. I’ve been getting complete dropouts of combat noises in PvP, such as:
-Gunshots
-Supers
-Jumping
-Abilities
Certain sounds remain however, which makes it clear this is not an issue on my end. The sounds that often seem to remain are:
-Menu ticks
-swapping inventory
-The single repetitive chime from getting burned by a smoke grenade
-The shocking sound of my shields being broken in a sea of absolute silence
The only solution I’ve found has been to restart D2 entirely, closing the app and bringing it back up again. Then, it’s just a random amount of time before the next match will have the same audio bug.
When I check my Xbox dashboard for the audio settings, the sounds are perfect outside the D2 program. This seems to be in-game. I hate to use hyperbole like “unplayable” but crucible absolutely requires this audio feedback.
I can’t play because there’s (mostly) no sounds, and I can’t leave because I’ll receive a suspension. So now I’m stuck being a detriment to my team.
I have actually been digging a bit to find recent reports of this audio issue, so I figure it should be put on your radar. Could this be patched ASAP?
Thank you.
