Loss of in-game audio

Last time I was on (roughly 2 days ago) As I was loading into a nightfall I lost mostly all in-game audio, such as gun noises, enemies guns/dialog, and some others but can still hear when I get critically wounded and menu music. Was hoping when I logged on today that it was just a minor bug and would fix itself next time I log on, yet am still having these issues. What’s the fix for this? (I’m on Xbox Series X)

If you haven't already, we recommend checking that all the audio settings in the in-game Settings are elevated. We also recommend checking the Audio & Music section of your Xbox Guide, to ensure the game is not favoring a different audio source. If you are still unable to get audio in this part of the game, we recommend also trying to clear your console's cache.     • I'm on PC and once in a blue moon, this happens to me as well.

    • I experienced the same issue on Xbox Series X when running GMs last week. For me, simply going to orbit and reloading the activity resolved the issue. But then I would lose audio again in maybe 30 min. Rebooting and clearing cache did not resolve the issue.
