Was using wicked implement for a Gm run of arms dealer yesterday and realised how anti barrier is not working with it. Radiant gives this anti barrier though, any reason why this is not applying to the gun standardly?

Because Bungie sucks and they are too lazy to fix it.

Punishment for being wicked

Would you believe me if I said because one exotic being good for multiple champions was fun but the word fun isn't allowed I remember when exotics made orbs of light without the need of helmet mods I remember when 1 2 punch was absolutely hilariously fun I remember winters guile being crazy strong and on par with wormgods I remember well mods and warminds I remember when global reach warminds that actually had global reach before the nerf so it only covered a small area after I remember titan bubble being good for pve I remember when dmt had a good fire rare when hip shooting I remember the last word having more range than a shotgun 😆 I remember when the lament was actually better than legendary swords I remember strikes you could run all the way to the end with no invisible walls forcing you to kill everyone before proceeding So many good things to remember before streamers ruined the game by wanting a challange ,have you tried Avalon on legend 🤣 🤣

Literally only because bungo doesn't want it to. They said that it stuns 2 types of champions already so they don't want it to be a jack of all trades.

Edited by ForeverLaxx: 12/21/2024 10:03:05 AMBungie will tell you that it's because it has "intrinsic" stun capability, even though it doesn't. The real reason is that they juryrigged Chill Clip's coding onto it to make it work how they wanted and Chill Clip bugs out with Radiant/Anti-Barrier. While a Radiant Chill Clip weapon will stop the healing and ability spam of an Overload, it doesn't technically stun them so they can still fire back though it will still destroy the shield of a Barrier Champion while Radiant. Rather than fix this, Bungie just pretends everything with Chill Clip has "intrinsic" dual-stun capability and they went in to specifically block Anti-Barrier from working on Wicked Implement.

It would definitely be nice if Bungie added some text to that gun stating it doesn’t work with champion mods. I know 99% of people will check twitter history before setting their loadouts, but I’m part of the 1% that would rather see pertinent information about the game, in the actual game.
-
It’s intrinsic doesn’t let it go to being anti barrier it was addressed in wk 1. Sorry you’re a bit late to not know.
-
Yes, that is really annoying. Like when revision zero which is pulse cannot stop unstop because it’s intrinsic perk is anti-barrier, when bows are also for anti-barrier but not le monarque, when bows are anti-overload but not wish-ender. It does not make sense that weapons with intrinsic anti-something mode cannot do 2 anti mods, or at least it should be clear that the mod you have equipped will not work on weapon with intrinsic mod.
-
The intrinsic traits of the weapon have the potential to stun two different champion types.
-
I honestly agree with you that Wicked should be able to benefit from Anti-barrier. Sure it can stun Overload and Unstoppables, but the weapon doesn't have the symbol of Overload or Unstoppable on it in the weapon system like Revision would as that one shows Anti-Barrier. The Overload and Unstoppable isn't even like other weapons as it is from Stasis debuffs, not from the weapon itself so Anti-Barrier should work just fine.
-
Cause it would’ve been the most used gun this season. It had its chance to shine. Smh what a missed opportunity!
-
Wicked implement can have an impact on two champion types. This seems to be the line. It can stun overloads and unstoppables with no mods. This seems to be the line that dictates what weapons get extra benefits or not. Take skyburners oath… it will stun unstoppable with no extra mods. So it works with anti barrier. Nothing that I know of ever dictated this, just my own theory.
-
Because going the extra inch to simply say good against overload and unstoppable lime they do for all the other champion exotics is too much and easier to understand. QA
-
It already stuns 2 champions+ i believe Bungie stated that's how it supposed to work. I like the exotic but i can't stand that squeaky sound every time you fire that thing!
-
bungie mentioned earlier that wicked implement has chill-clip built into it, so because of how they coded the weapon it doesn't work with artifact stuns.
