Huge playerbase drop in a matter of weeks, and all I come across now are cheats and exploits in every game mode.

Y'all real just say random words that sound good. It's like an ai generated post.
Huge playerbase drop in a matter of weeks
This is just false. Average month to month player count has remained around the same for the past few months according to steam charts.
all I come across now are cheats and exploits in every game mode.
All game modes? Really? It's like you typed in "forum post for destiny bad" into a chatgpt prompt.

Bungie won't listen. They have catered to the hard-core players and as a result of that players have stopped playing. There is no reason to do the new raid, trials, or play the seasonal content it's all way to grindy or overly complex for casual and new player.
-
Too many players trying to tell a game studio how to make video games.
-
Sorry. Bungie team is currently on leave for the holidays. Try asking again in a few weeks.

The players happened to this game. Does anyone remember the forums complaining about Red Borders killing the fun of grinding for God rolls? Because I do, Bungie removed red borders, and now everyone is complaining once again. I get it that bungie isn't helping the situation, but I can't blame them for listening to their player base. Maybe the players should stop complaining about good things, and they won't get removed.

Edited by Cooper: 12/22/2024 2:43:57 PMThey had a press conference and said they don't want to make quality content only enough to shut people up and ya know they "delete" content on a yearly cycle. That's what happened, its not sunsetting that killed destiny nor crafting. Its the idiotic design decisions every sect of bungie has made because they couldn't be bothered to do their jobs.

Edited by Eden: 12/22/2024 12:33:39 AMThe current low player counts are the result of a mixture of different things: - Fatigue with the repetitive Seasonal/Episodic content model. - The decision to drop all of each Act's content on release (people just log in for a couple of hours to play the new stuff and then dip until the next Act releases.) - The game's story feeling kind of directionless right now since the Witness is dead and the next major story thread hasn't been revealed yet. - The removal of crafting for this Episode's weapons and tonics being bugged/generally unreliable. - The Dawning releasing in an incredibly buggy and broken state (as well as just being a fairly boring grindy event that's light on actual content compared to the other events we have.) - The game being generally unapproachable to new players due to lack of guidance, vaulted content, and high buy-in cost if you want access to everything. - The release of other big games (Marvel Rivals, Path of Exile 2, etc.) drawing peoples' attentions away. - The fact that the game is 10 years old and people are just naturally slowly going to lose interest after that long.
-
I'd say it's doing extremely well for a 7 year old game.
-
Boring content and watered down season passes
-
You new? It’s been very clear and obvious what has happened to the game 🙄😂
-
As long as it doesn't go down any more than this everything will be fine.
-
The all story on 1st week of the acts this episode has killed a lot of reason to even log into the game. Coupled with the ridiculous amount of bugs and glitches ruining the episode for some players,it's no wonder people have stopped playing
-
Didn't you just make another post like 2 days ago complaining about player count, and then everyone informed you to stop taking your numbers from Steam? So now you make another post complaining again about player count when it's still a few hundred thousand playing daily.

If you don't enjoy the game anymore move on to another one. There's nothing to do in this game at the moment.

This game is always losing players, so you'll forgive me if I don't act overly alarmed. "DeStInY iS lOsInG pLaYeRs!" Yeah. No dip. This game sucks. We all know this. Now come on, I'm trying to get a killer Exotic Cloak roll and we're wasting time.
