I don’t have the creative stamina for novels, so here’s a poem instead.
It’s called The Mirror
[i]The silence is deafening
Sweet music shining in the night
Flash of cameras, as fans to a stage
A swirling headdress, flecked with jewels
And during the day, the same fans
Shining, adoring, dancing on the waves
The light welcomes me
This time, a gentle lullaby greets
The audience
And the actor
Separate
Yet inseparable

I have a very long sci-fi in the works and it can certainly feel like a chore to keep the story feeling fresh and inspired! Some sections are very slow—lots of dialogue, description, and often large stretches of book without much action, but [i]somehow[/i] I power through it![/spoiler]
