It’s called The Mirror
The silence is deafening
Sweet music shining in the night
Flash of cameras, as fans to a stage
A swirling headdress, flecked with jewels
And during the day, the same fans
Shining, adoring, dancing on the waves
The light welcomes me
This time, a gentle lullaby greets
The audience
And the actor
Separate
Yet inseparable
I do have a fiction thing in the works, but it’s 100% a short story, maybe half an hour’s worth of TV time
My Precious Little Flower I bought a cute little seed To plant in the pot by the window It'll grow big and strong, As long as do everything I can to help And I can't wait to see it become pretty! I planted a cute little seed And took care of it every single day I gave it lots of water, Made sure it was always in the sun, And I can already see a little green! I'm growing a cute little flower, It's already got a cute little bud It's still got lots to grow, But I know as long as I help it along, It'll get prettier by the hour. I'm growing a cute little flower For all of my friends to see When they walk into my house, It'll always make them impressed And I'll be so happy it's ours! I was growing a cute little flower But it grew as big as it could Yet, it was still so small.. Not as pretty as I'd wanted or hoped So I threw it away.
Nothing wrong with a short story. They can be really fun. Being able to write a short story is also a talent--I definitely can't! Nine times out of ten, I always want to just keep making it bigger and bigger! Poetry is kind of fun, but I'm not very good at that, either. Your poem is much better. After playing Doki Doki Literature Club, I tried writing one poem a day for a while. Wound up with mostly garbage. >.>
