1. Remove some perks. Now it is nice and all that you are given these many options, helps with multiple builds and activities. I also do know that there are less favorable perks there so that you don't always get good combos. This is to increase the playtime. But 12 in each column might be a bit to much. Perhaps 8 would be better.
2. Guarantee an activity specific drop. So many times do i either get nothing but glimmer and or an enhancement core upon completing a ritual activity, and the other times it gives me a world drop.
Now i am fine with it giving world drops, but make the specific loot a guaranteed drop and have the world drop act more like a nice little bonus, and not the other way around.
3.Reduce the engram cost for focusing old weapons. Seriously why do the old weapons cost 3-5 engrams, when the recently added one cost just 1. Sure it helps with farming the latest one, but if you missed the previous weapons or if they were buffed. Farming for those is just a chore. It honestly feels like it should be reversed.
Now i do understand Nightfall weapons being a bit more expensive, but 5 engrams if it is not the featured one, and 4 if it is. Is a little bit to high, perhaps 3 engrams would be a better price for them.
Not to mention how the armor cost 3 engrams each, Why so much ?
Now Trials does it best. All featured weapons included the armor set, just cost 1 engram each. The legacy sits at 3.
Now this suggestion will go against the reduced grind part, but seeing as how these Ritual / Core activities were meant to be played over and over again, essentially being the bulk of the game.
I would suggest that you add all of the current loot into the loot pool. Yes very grindy now with so many different items to get, but again these were supposed to be the main activity that you play.
Having a small loot pool for the main activities just doesn't make any sense to me, especially when they barely drop. Now i think that if these items were guaranteed, it wouldn't feel so grindy and unrewarding, even with the expanded loot pool now. This last suggestion could be skipped entirely and i can definitely see people not wanting it.

Those are all really good suggestions but I think the last one might be one of the best. If there was drastically more loot in the ritual activities there would be more people chasing things that they get to decide on. Even with the recent complaints about perk weighting supposedly being an issue the people will sometimes be going for things that the majority of players aren't going for. So just like some other aspects of the game, like patrols and such, where they may not appear to be the main course there might be a lot of engagement potential there for people that really like to casually go at their own pace with the game. Not sure if it could be "all" of it but if it was a lot more and somehow you could focus in on what you wanted in general that would almost have to help with the player population. This game has a whole lot of people that really do need loot attached to the activities for them to want to engage with them regularly and there should be nothing wrong with that at this point.
