When will Bungie do something about Vault Space, and what is the plan?!
Atm, I can’t play the game anymore, because my vault, postmasters and all three characters are full.
Just collecting all the combinations of Exotic Class Items on all three characters has my vault overflowing. Let alone all the various rolls on all the weapons from all these activities in the game.
It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even want anything anymore because I have no place to put it. Thus there is no longer any reason to play the game.
So what is Bungie’s plan to tackle this ongoing problem?
Increasing vault space yet again?! How will another 100 slots help, as with it will probably come more activities with more weapons to chase and thus fill that up again quickly?
We need a more permanent solution!
Does Bungie have one?
If so, what is it and when will it be implemented?!

The solution is to fix Collections and have it work the way that it should. That should sort the vault space issue.

I feel lucky I only play 1 character and get those extra slots for my warlocks weapons and armor.. I never wanted to play 3 characters going over the same things it never appealed to me. Also, I keep very minimal armor being PVP focused. I have to say I also enjoy being brutal with the vault and deleting things when they/me don't perform well (always choppin down to 650ish).. so I have no vault issues.. but I can completely understand where those who need that armor.. and weapons would be like wtf?? Crafting and Collections could be a solution for what you have already unlocked but I imagine they must keep an ultimate cap as that makes for a natural trash and replace cycle... chase of the game.. also perhaps new players have to be considered and how they would be so far behind someone with a vault and massive collections..etc... ...so not sure where they go from here but as a practical player I know to let go of the crap not serving me now.. (for ex: recently exotic weapons and crafted weapons that are not regularly used went bye bye...things I was hoping to deepsight but no harmonizers.. byebye)

This is exactly how I feel about the game. I dislike seeing engrams drop in the game, because it means I need to go collect it and delete it with the 1 space in each slot that I have left. Seeing a drop that I want to keep, means that I need to use DIM to compare all of my weapons and see what I need to delete to make space. Many of my older weapons have sentimental value, because they cannot be acquired anymore, and remind me of when I got them and used them with people who are no longer around. I delete almost all exotic weapons, and only keep the ones that have high kill tracker counts or currently have a catalyst in the works. Exotic class items take up WAY too much space, and I have deleted almost all of my Ergo Sum rolls now since I dont use it. What the game truly needs is a rework of the collections/crafting system, to allow us to reacquire weapons after we delete them. That was kind of the whole purpose of making the crafting system, and now doubling back over to RNG only drops feels twice as bad. I have saved 2 or 3 seasonal weapons this season... with no intention of farming, or using tonics to get more because I have no space. No space in a looter shooter = no interest to play for loot = no interest in playing activities that you would only play for the loot and not for the activity = less reason to log into the game = the drastic drop in player count. At least with crafting, I can feel that I am progressing during the season by unlocking the patters, and would provide much more incentive to play those activities. I ran a bunch of the original Onslaught this week and scrapped every drop, but I enjoy Vostok, and like the original Onslaught much more than the current seasons (no Cabal drop pods is a HUGE plus). I dont think that we need more vault space, we just need a redesign on collections and crafting to allow us to play with the weapons that we have earned when we want to play with them. Having to hold onto weapons/rolls that may be insignificant now, but could be META in a future season takes up way too much space. I routinely comb through the vault to make space, and still feel like its more work than playing the game while doing so. Enough to make me not want to log in when I have no space left.

Rolls on exotic class items should unlock the perks. 20 different items could then fit into one slot. The same could be done with Ergo Sum. The frame should take up a slot, but the perks should be unlocked when they drop with the frame.

My vault represents my history with the game. Maybe I keep to much but … i would prefer a smarter way to manage stuff. Also, I think Bungie said something about a better way to store stuff comming next year I think?

Honestly, I wish the vault had folders. The reason why they get so overfilled is cuz everything is just haphazardly tossed in & mixed up. Its makes no sense to hafta shuffle thru titan armor while your on your hunter. Having 4 or 5 folders that separate “hunter armor” versus “titan armor” versus “general weapons” versus “frequently used weapons” … would make so much more sense than 800 slots of f4ck-all.

I personally have no issues with vault space anymore. After years and years of begging for more space, i simply found the easiest solution for myself:
I quit playing and never collect loot anymore, but shhhh dont tell others this secret fix for vault problems
Delete the weapons and armor you don't use. There is literarily no way that you are using over 300-500 different weapons. I know that it can be hard to delete weapons that you can't get anymore, but if you are not using them then does it really matter if you have it or not ?

You have 700 spaces, do you really think you will use all the guns you have in there? Or will you just throw on the most OP thing at the time and use that?

You don't need to keep everything. Bungie doesn't need to add more space just because you hoard everything in the game. Not every roll on everything is worth keeping. Clean out your vault of all the stuff you've never even used and will most likely never use, and then you'll suddenly have vault space again.
