Is there anything to grind for/get in the dawning, or is it all crappy rewards I prolly don't need?

The linear is good for pve. I got my god roll and now I'm free to just complete the event title. https://ibb.co/WBjps4x The solar LMG is good simply because the game lacks good solar ones and I want one. The rest is meh-ok for PvP/PvE

Apparently one of the "must haves" is a Stay Frosty with Rimestealer and Headstone perk combo. I would say try to get an Avalanche with Incandescent with perhaps Subsistence or Rewind Rounds for a reload perk. I have one with Rewind and Incandescent from last year and while it is not a DPS monster, it does get a healthy work out and serves well as an add control / clear heavy for me.

Linear fusion with envious arsenal and bait and switch. Maybe a withering gaze roll too. Pulse with lone wolf and kill clip - could be great after the buffs Fusion if you like PvP fusions

Pulse rifle gets headstone and the frost armor perk, and some decent pvp combinations Glaciochasm still gets slideshot and reservoir burst, and good pvp perks, probably the best high impact for pvp. None of the others get anything I personally would see as notable, and all have comparable non event options.
