Am I the only one who hates the arms dealer

Forget as GM, everytime I que into this strike in Vangaurd Ops I always return back to orbit. This strike is insanely garbage and embodies poor gameplay design. >Bad ad density >Boring encounters >boring boss fight >glitchy as -blam!- (teleporting ads are a huge problem here). not even gonna talk about the aimbot thresher missiles on GM difficulty lmao.

  • I don't "hate" any GM i just find the rewards not worth the hassle anymore. Adepts used feel more powerful than regular legendaries nowadays it's just another legendary with an extra perk. 😐

  • Even on GM difficulty, the only thing to worry about in the strike is the tormentor part since it has massive damage resist (so rockets and grenade launchers on him are a no-no) and its spinning attack has VERY accurate tracking, even when you shoot at it. The boss room and everywhere else is pretty easy as long as you kill the ship turrets/threshers first BEFORE depositing any charges. The modifier is REALLY limiting since you are forced to run an SMG/shotty with your build or else you lose out on optimal damage. I even tried it with Wish Ender and it doesn’t one shot the Barrier champ shields anymore due to the modifier. I went straight in front of the champ one time while its shield is up (so minimal damage falloff) and it only took off a little more than half of it. 🤦🏾‍♂️

      I liked it a lot in the early days. It was a quick snappy strike that could be hammered quick in a good fireteam. As they started adding the battlegrounds, I liked Arms even more cos it was an 'old skool' strike & different. More akin to D1 strikes. Gave the strike playlist some variety. Then they 'remixed' it. Not overly keen. Tho I will say, I do appreciate the new NPC dialogue & lil bit of story jigging. That was a cool touch. Worst thing is the friendly Cabal that don't really do anything but become mobile hurdles 😆 I miss Strange Terrain 🫤

      • I was trying to do a gm of it the other day, and we wiped because of a glitch in the final part of the boss fight that meant that the charge dissipated as it was put in the hole leading to the charge -holding enemy constantly respawning causing a wipe.

          Blueberry AI tended to push me out of cover in that strike. I just pretended the cabal were being poor losers, but in reality it was very very annoying.

          So you can't sneak/speed through most of it? Thought this was a shooter game, not a stealth one. For the gm, honestly oscillation isn't that bad. If light.gg gave (de)buff numbers it might not be so hated considering just about every fireteam I joined/created no one built into it. So I tested it. All data based on using no other buffs or spike grenade type wep perks. Both ends of ×3 are the highest/lowest multiplier of their respective ×2 (SMGs are 3 and 0.65). My runs with PR+scout teammates add 20min to the run. Don't like change? Tough.

          • About the part of glitch or teleport is if your connection or one of your teammates connection issue and also champions specially unstop to teleport and it’s normal for a long while.
