Do u need discord to play destiny 2?

Not needed, but if I can avoid having to get a headache by listening to peoples terrible in game mic setup when raiding, I will.

No, Discord is an external social media you can use for voice chat and groups. Destiny has an in-game voice chat though.

No, only time I ever used discord was for FFXIV doing Baldesion Arsenal a 56 player raid and Delibrum Reginae Savage a 48 player raid. Those raids require a discord with team leaders to achieve victory. -

Why are you asking this? You’ve been playing and (I’m guessing) haven’t had discord so far. So that should answer your question. Is it needed? No Does it help? Yes

Nope. It's up to clans if they decide to use discord or not.

3 RepliesNo, it’s not required. Some groups or clans may make it a requirement if you want to join them, but there are others that are happy to just use fireteam or party chat.

Yes and no. You don’t absolutely need it to play the game however it makes LFG more convenient instead of relying solely on the bungie LFG service on the app. Take it from me, I’ve gotten by for over 3 years without an LFG discord.
