Nice b8.
-
No, it’s not required. Some groups or clans may make it a requirement if you want to join them, but there are others that are happy to just use fireteam or party chat.
-
No I only use Discord for Ark
-
-
-
-
-
No, Discord is an external social media you can use for voice chat and groups. Destiny has an in-game voice chat though.
-
-
It isn’t as there is in game chat
-
If you want to find Fireteam on this dying game it is, yes.
-
Only For Gay Meet ups and they Never play Destiny 2 they just want an Excuse to get you to Discord along with Government Game Sabotage Agents Working together
-
It would appear that way. But personally I’ve yet to have a good experience when doing so
-
In this day and age of gaming the answer is you should and you will have a better overall experience. It allows for data sharing, comms, lfgs, and really skies the limit. As an example, In my community discord we schedule raids days out and have built libraries of walkthoughs, builds, and how to'd for those who arent as savy cab quickly look stuff up without having to filter through a million google searches. Plus it helps when we are all following the same procedures. It has been the standard for years for PC and both Microsoft and Sony of seen the light and have created links to through their own OS to enable players to utilize discord in their systems. With Crossplay being the norm now for almost all games you would be making the personnel choice to hinder yourself and making it unnecessarily difficult to connect as a team. Its super easy to set up on consoles and at this point in gaming anyone who plays multiplayer games should absolutely have one and be familizr with it.

If you want access to the better lfg yes if you're fine with in-game finder then no.
-
Not needed, but if I can avoid having to get a headache by listening to peoples terrible in game mic setup when raiding, I will.
-
I don’t even know what discord is. 🤷♂️
-
No, only time I ever used discord was for FFXIV doing Baldesion Arsenal a 56 player raid and Delibrum Reginae Savage a 48 player raid. Those raids require a discord with team leaders to achieve victory.
-
Given the amount of people that have bad mic set-ups, yes.
-
Why are you asking this? You’ve been playing and (I’m guessing) haven’t had discord so far. So that should answer your question. Is it needed? No Does it help? Yes
-
Nope. It's up to clans if they decide to use discord or not.
-
Not required but sometimes game chat can bug out.
-
At this point yes
-
No but discord is a very good tool to have. You'll find more success in lfg thru various discord communities vs the in game lfg
-
Yes and no. You don’t absolutely need it to play the game however it makes LFG more convenient instead of relying solely on the bungie LFG service on the app. Take it from me, I’ve gotten by for over 3 years without an LFG discord.
